Either way, painted hubcaps really need to be a standard, the last two waves of cw had some appalling lack of paint apps, and rid is little better

The only deluxes with unpainted hubcaps are the military and civil service vehicles...but hey, who am I to judge if you want shiny things on your combat units?

Combat units have colored rims, usually something in drab military colors, as do civil service vehicles, firetrucks have normal chromed rims, like cars...

Wheeljack looks MUCH better with the chest paint. The black shoulders and forearms also help to break up the boringness. He also pops better in white instead of whatever off-white color Hasbro put out.

Wheeljack looks MUCH better with the chest paint. The black shoulders and forearms also help to break up the boringness. He also pops better in white instead of whatever off-white color Hasbro put out.

Takara has knocked it out of the park with Sky Reign/Lynx Master. Everything about it is an improvement over Hasbro's release. You can't even quibble on the color choices either, like some do with UW Bruticus, or the mold choices, like with CW vs. UW Computron. Now, let's just hope this isn't the most expensive Unite Warriors release yet.

That's what has me a little worried. I buy from online importers like TFSource and BBTS. The going price for previous Unite Warriors Takara-Tomy Mall exclusives was about $159 after all the middle men and mark ups are figured in. I wouldn't be surprised if Lynx Master ends up being about $179 or more at such stores in the US what with it being a "double exclusive" in Japan.

Does anyone know if Takara did another release of UW-01 Superion? I just noticed a couple of online retailers get them back in stock, albeit at a slightly higher price. I've seen sites like BBTS occasionally get a small restocking, but this is more than 24 (their max order limit for one item). It doesn't matter really as I already have Superion, but I was waiting/hoping that some of the others would go on clearance, Devastator in particular as it appears they still have many of them in stock.

Afraid not. All Unite Warriors releases have been sets of 5, except for Grand Scourge. If anything, it'll be Smokescreen that gets a special TT redeco, just to throw Japanese fans a little bone.

Mmmmm, these are delicious. Not sure I'm too big on the name - Sky Reign is just better - but who cares? This is awesome. I'm almost tenpted to have that Wheeljack as my classics one over the Generations guy.

Sweet Primus, those decos look gorgeous! Wheeljack went from one of the worst looking Transformers in recent memory to absolutely superb. Hound and Trailbreaker look great too. And that Ratchet...

Ugh, it's a pity I've sworn off official combiners because these look awesome. If it weren't for the price I'd happily buy the set and just have them as individual robots.
