You think Takara Liokaiser is still a matter of when and not if? I certainly hope so. He was so kick ass in Victory, but not really feeling the Hasbro offering.

Nah I totally feel it's a matter of if. Still, considering how enthusiastic they seem to be to use whatever new tooling the CW molds have - which for Takara, especially these days is extremely weird - I'd say that's a point in favour of them doing Liokaiser as likely.

I enjoyed it at the time, but when my local station stopped carrying Fox Kids I never finished it. Last episode I saw was the cliffhanger where Megatron becomes Galvatron. I have since "acquired" all of Car Robots AND RID but never gotten around to actually watching them. I did meet Neil Kaplan at the one and only Savcon a few years back, though.

The reason I ask is because, back in November 2015, I wrote up a big RiD/CR reference guide in the TF cartoon/comics forum section, but it kinda got lost in all the IDW comics talk of the time. With this new CR-related news, I figure now might be a good time to bring back some attention to it.

I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you, but there's a big leap between "I liked watching this show" and "I am interested in knowing every single variation of a battle cry or transformation phrase from every single character and how often they were said." While I'm sure there are other people out there who can utilize your research or are otherwise interested in this guide, they are few and far between. That's why your thread got buried.

Seriously though. I've never watched RID/CR but I might have to buy this. IIRC UW Bruticus suffered from QC issues so this would be the ideal substitute. Though I will say, I kinda wish he was available in US toy colours as well- sand blue Armourhide is something I really like for some reason.

I never watched RID but its easily one of my favourite toylines of all time. So many original designs, and amazing quality.

RiD Prime and Magnus are amazing. RiD Prime was the first new Prime I picked up when I first returned to Transformers. This was during the beginning of Armada. That Prime was aces.

No need to dig, its the actual name fo the link. I also have no clue what you are getting at with this. Are you trying to say that there isnt proof this is baldigus? I dont see this as being any different than those stil out there saying that there isnt solid proof we are getting an Overlord next year. We dont need an official anouncement to know for sure that something si coming, we know how this game works well enough by now.

That image has no name on it. The Katakana under the UW logo says "TakaraTomy Mall".

What we know: 1. Silhouette looks mostly like Bruticus 2. It will be revealed on 10/25
What we do not know for sure: 1. Name (many speculate Baldigus, but it could be something different) 2. Color Scheme (again unknown)

Additionally there is the whole herald of Unicron aspect which Baldigus (CR 2000) had no connection to, so again this may be something all new, just re-using Bruticus molds.

What I'm getting at is that there is nothing out in the open on TTM that explicitly states outright that the silhouette is Baldigus. We know it is, but only because we dug deeper than the surface level of the website to look at the image's filename. Fenrir was saying that site tells us it's Baldigus, but a casual glance at the site on the surface level provides no such name for the set. That's how I didn't see the name before at the time I originally wrote the post with the word "supposed" it in that Fenrir was quoting: because the name wasn't on the site. It was found deeper than that, in a filename instead.

So all this was just so that you can say that Fenrir was incorrect about the detail as to how we know it's Baldigus? Sheesh

I just realized, it confirms the toy as a UWEX release, so yeah it will be a TTMall exclusive as well (we guessed that already though but this confirms it).

Yeah, this was the Ruination I was thinking of, but isn't this FoC-incarnation using Wrecker names and an Autobot? I thought Baldigus was a Decepticon. (I guess, for that matter, Ruination was a 'Con too, until the FoC version... I'm so confused... )
