Seriously though the designs are removed enough from the original toys that I'm not feeling them that much, the first review of the main guy wasn't that positive either; the size to price ratio really isn't there too. Was the original Battle Convoy part and compatible with the more "Futuristic" looking Diaclone toys?

So Hasbro makes stands that aren't compatible with the holes they've been molding into transformers for 3 years, makes sense.

@ Chuck. Those stands are the same as the Marvel Legends one packed with Black Widow. I was a little underwhelmed with them, though her set at least had some explosions to play with.

As far as the Price to size ration... You have to keep in mind the high plastic quality all the engineering. Everything is solid (no gaps) everything is screwed together (for the most part).

They have a *lot* of moving parts when you take the "system" as a whole.

That said, mileage will vary from person to person. As someone who as damn near collected the whole line (Started with Battle Buffalo because I'm a sucker for troop transports) I feel the quality is there. They're effectively SoC Bandai and Takara MP quality (probably better than your average MP- though MP44's trailer got close to capturing that magic with the Combat Deck and Roller).

I got a feeling they'll eventually Offer "Battle Convy" (Robot component) and the Rhino (trailer) separately down the line in other colors... which has me kicking myself. Though I'm tickled by the idea of having G1 (G2) Prime, MP-44 and V-Max Battle Convoy on a shelf together. Showing the root, and then the two different ways the franchises went. Which is the only reason I caved on the Red/Blue Colors. (Still hoping for black/grey/blue deco)

I feel one of the other magical things about this particular series, is just how well that 1/60 scale just all fits so well together. It's basically what Hasbro keeps trying to do with the various Greebling on the Titans to make them "feel bigger". Except with Diaclone, it all works together.

Has anyone's regular version of the Triverse add-on guys shipped yet? The V-Jet (?)

Ah ok, good to know about the stands, I thought they were totally new with bendy plastic in the shaft.

I've found Fimga (Goodsmile Co.) to be decent stands, they use the standard... 3mm(?) ports most figures have drilled in them somewhere. Though I'm sure the tamashii Nation stands work well too (Bandai)

I cancelled any add-ons that I had pre-ordered, I feel good with these 2 and only want Battle Convoy outside of that.

These do feel very comparible to the Figuarts Marvel figures, and around the same price as well, at least for the ones I've ordered. I am not into the entire line, just a couple, and that works for the price honestly.

And Chuck, those stands seem to have been designed for all the 6" figure lines currently out, and there are a lot now (Marvel, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe, D&D), so it was more for them.

Been pretty quiet in here lately. But anyone got thoughts on all the 'add-on' mobile base kits coming out to supplement ~Prime~ V-Max Battle Convoy. Looks like it's up to $700 total if you get one of all the kits. The extended trailer pod feels very unnecessary... but it also feels like a piece that you might like to have when you really want it, and will be sad if you miss out on it.


I'm surprised we never got a Big-GV Destroyer matching mobile command base (the legs) or a trailer extension for Battle Buffalo.


Part of me is really happy they're finally doing consoles and some props for the actual dianaughts. I'm less thrilled it feels like they're nickle and diming with all the add-ons. But I suppose it keeps Battle Convoys (already high) price down.


Also not sure how I feel about all the tri-verse guys getting re-released in new colors. I really like all the match blue 'hero' colors, but they match the OG Dasher that I think is out of stock, unless they do another production run. Makes me wish I hadn't done the Shadow (military black) versions.

I did see some red repaints of the Triverse, but I am satisfied with my Rambler and Dasher. Battle Convoy will be the 3rd and final major component, the 3 will look good together and provide a repair bay and launch point for the triverse.

But assuming one just gets *one* extra pod, and one of each of the other "add-ons" V-Max Convoy is getting dangerously close to $700 if not more. buying two pod extensions is tempting if only for the fact that having a Big-GV in convoy mode sitting *in* the trailer bay is ridiculous.

About the only thing they've been missing is a re-issue of the little mobile base (legs) Big Powered 04 and 05 in black 'destroy' colors or the Marine's deep teal.

It also annoys me that the <Sun Burst> Dasher seems to be his own *new* color scheme. doesn't seem to match V-Max Convoy.

I don't know why, but I do not like the Sundasher colors.

I have been eying the Verse riser a lot, to give saw arms to my Triverse, but I can't really justify it for myself.

That Driller and Jet look really sweet in the Tridasher colors, that is sorely tempting to have the matching set. But then Rambler would seem like the odd one out, the half brother to them of sorts, and I like it and Dasher as partners
