Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

You know they will. They have to do this guy eventually.
oh gosh... on one hand... that doesn't really impress me... on the other hand.... the difference in the old ones and the *new* ones... well... it'll probably blow my mind. do we know how DA-48 and DA-49 are? I'm guessing one is the "booster/strike" pack for the Red Lightning (Dia Battles V2-black/red deco).
Sorry Spikey, I misread your post. I read "better" as bigger. But is that what you meant? Fortress X is a gigantoid behemothatron! I'm sure if they do a new version he will be out of control amazing. I hope they retain the conveyor system the OG had.

No clue on DA-48 and 49.
Yeah, meant bigger. Was hoping $400 was going to be the price ceiling lol
Makes me feel better. I’m really starting to question why this discount thing doesn’t catch on here in the west. Is Japan’s collectibles market really that cutthroat compared to the rest of the world?

I've always wondered that too. It's a huge incentive for me. Especially over domestic importer sites. I order all Diaclone stuff (and MPs for that matter) from Ami Ami who is showing a price just a few Yen better than that

I'm really tempted to get him so I can have him and Trydasher in a pacific rim styled Jaegar vs Kaiju battle
Trydasher is going to be *significantly* smaller. I'm preparing myself for the Tryverse guys to be *roughly* the size of the upgraded waruder suits. Or about half the size of Dia Battles/Buffalo.

Amazon.jp has always had crazy fast shipping (for some reason my brain kept thinking that it was Free shipping... but I think it's always been under $20... and like 2 day shipping... most other exporters it's either higher, or significantly slower.
I think what bothers me most about the price differences between East and West... is the fact that even Pulse doesn't get in on it. I can see BBTS/TFSource staying with MSRP... but assuming they're (the importers) are paying *less* than what Amazon.jp/Ami Ami (etc) are charging... and they get some deal on bulk shipping.... that's a lot of what I can only see as pure profit... and these higher end collectables when you're talking 20-30% of course i'm going to save $100... who wouldn't.

Why would hasbro pulse get in on it? Shipping or Diaclone itself?

Well, more about the pricing discrepancies, because like the rest of the western distributors they charge full-price, which means i'm never getting an MP through them.
Re:Diaclone- it would be cool if they could work out western distribution with Takara(Tomy) with Diaclone. But I feel the line is probably a bit spendy for the average western buyer.
I suppose Hasbro/Takara doesn't *really* care what retailers charge because they got their cut shipping to warehouse for retailer distribution. So I'm derailed a little bit... But Diaclone (and MPs) really make these 20-30% discounts really stark.
What are are ya'll thoughts on waurader integration with Warudon (Gigantar)? I'm not sure i'm seeing a lot of big opportunies to really use that particular release as a "part set". Versus the normally open-ended "infinite" combination they generally have.
I'm also curious to see how Trydasher/flyer/driller end up combing with the larger releases, or if they have any integration with the smaller evasion suits.

As it is i'm impressed much it out masses Big GV.
But him being smaller is all the more fun!
I never got a Pacific Rim Kaiju, and the Gypsy Danger I got was the one who's elbows snapped as soon as you moved them, he's basically static. i would like to have a highly posable robot vs Kaiju pairing (non-TF wise)
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please! Wanna talk? Or Rollerblade? Click below and head on over to the D-Max Den!!

That’s a shame about the gypsy danger figure. I do wish Pacific Rim has reboot the mecha vs Kaiju genre. I suppose it might have helped Godzilla’s new lease.

There's some integration of the combination gimmick in Giganter, the connection points are the same 20mm cylinder standard that the smaller Waruder sets are based around, and I see mounting points on his shoulders and ankles that look compatible with the cylinder connectors. I look forward to seeing what the creative maniacs with Giganter and a dozen Waruder suits can make of it. The Trivers figures, however, don't seem to have any compatibility with the previous sets at all. As far as I can tell, they're their own gimmick.
https://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/diaclone/product_details/cosmobattles_v2_rl.html and now we know who 48 and 49 are. I don’t see the appeal of the cosmic marine colors of the (epsilon?) suit. But I can dig the “Red Lightning” cosmo set. Bonus points it comes with the alternate head. Though I was kind of hoping for an exclusive 3rd variant.
Dang.... I really underestimated how fun the Mobile (Battlefield) Command Center set was. Really did need a troop pack to really pop. Still wonder if they’ll re-release it in black in black for Big GV-Destoyer.
Having issues getting that YouTube vid to play, but if it’s the same quality of the others.... they really should do little 15min episodes.
