The books have been rewritten and there is now a nice new demand for paleo artists who have to draw new images featuring these dinosaurs as feathered.

PS: What kind of blows though is that now when I walk into a baby store and they have these dino themed puzzles by melissa and Doug, its all innacurate and based on very dated designs. Obviously, since I want my Dinobot to look like he does in the show, none of this maters, but I would like my daughter to grow up knowing the facts. Its like if I was giving her a flat map of the earth instead of a globe to show her how the world is shaped.

Even the awesome MP Grimlock is based on the previously wrong interpretation of the T-Rex. Grimlock admits to that in:

Going by Red Alert's / Sideswipe's height, MP Primal seems to be about Hot Rod's height, which would make him significantly smaller than the original Optimus Primal:

In that pic you posted, Hot Rod looks to be of comparable height to the original Primal toy.

Hot Rod's head comes up to about Primal's mouthplate. Primal is wider and heavier. I doubt the MP is going to be that wide and heavy. so yes, he will in fact look smaller than the original toy.

That said, I got the 10 day warning from BBTS today for this guy to come in, and I'd rather have him sooner than later. Can finally ship my PoL!

I'm with you. The box is the main draw not the mace. Btw, Energon banana or Primal converts organic material to energon?
