Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

The biggest, biggest difference is that there are no hidden sides of a Beast Mode. A car or truckformer can stuff loads of junk on its underside, but what can an apeformer do?
That and panel lines + joints are always going to look awkward on a beastmode (well, maybe it can be circumvented on those w/ plated bodies, but an Ape ain't one of those).
Optimus Primal has the same amount of care and engineering in his design as every other Masterpiece; it's just that he's a tougher subject to portray.
Absolutely. You could say it's a whole different animal...I am so sorry I had to
maybe optimal optimus would have been easier to pull off given hes more machine than animal
I would love an Optimal Optimus, but to so many, this is the original Primal, kinda like how the original Optimus Prime is the one so many recognize instantly, not one of his upgraded forms
Do we know how popular Ginrai is in Japan? Same toy, different character, but if we do ever see an MP Powermaster Prime, the most likely route I can imagine is through another "Japanese Autobot Leader" Masterpiece.Ultra Markus wrote:D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Ultra Markus wrote:Tyberion wrote:RevTibe wrote:We're used to G1 Masterpiece perfection, but the problem is those are turning a static blocky altmode into a blocky robot. it would be cool though and speaking of upgraded forms powermaster prime would make for an awesome masterpiece

I agree. Armada is one line that desperately needs the MP treatment, but let it have its turn after its predecessors (who have waited longer) have theirs.Ironhidensh wrote:I feel so old.
You kids can have your armada mp's......... after the G1 line-up is done. And beast wars.

Though, had Star Saber not won the 30th Anniversary MP poll, we would have had a Masterpiece MP-24 Convoy (Micron Densetsu) instead since he won second place in that poll.He came in third place in the 30th Anniversary Masterpiece Fan Choice poll.RevTibe wrote:Do we know how popular Ginrai is in Japan?

Was that popular enough for Masterpiece? Especially at masterpiece prices?? Everyone I know, hated that show with a passion. I personally hated the way that it twisted and ruined the Beast Wars show... the toys were the least of it's problems

Oh trust me, if they finish MP'ing G1, then BW, even if it's 20 years from now, I can wait for MP Beast Machines figures. But even then, I'd be just as happy with some Generations updates.Hellscream9999 wrote:Some of the designs were interesting, but I'm not clamoring for any of them at mp level, save maybe blackarachnia, silverbolt, strika, and obsidian, the rest can wallow in the corner
It doesn't. The robot chest is now formed from the gorilla's tummy.LegendaryAntiHero wrote:That's an excellent head sculpt for robot mode. I wonder how the ape head will fold to become the chest considering its size
