I noticed this yesterday. Hoping to pick up the remaining 4.0 sub figures for cheap and any comics I don't have.

Sadly I don't look for this sale to include the pre-order items, as those should still be widely available on the G.I.Joe club store after the Transformers club ends.

I love that they didn't send out an email, or tweet about this, or post on the FB page. I randomly went to the site last night and also saw the announcement. I have so many mixed feelings on the club. They're very sweet people, great customer service on the phone, but they repeatedly drop the ball in so many other ways.

Turns out I haven't been getting the magazines because my membership expired in June. Okay, that's fair. Except for the part where I thought all existing memberships were being rolled over due to the closing of the Club in December. I'd have to go back, so maybe that only gives access to the store and the sub when it was out, but seriously? I'm not going to subscribe at full price for half a year just for the magazines.

Anyway, really hoping Predacus is in the doorbuster, or at least on a good sale, because I'd like him but can't possibly afford him at full price with the CDN dollar being what it is. The last sale had both boxed and loose sets at 50 bucks off, if it's any better than that I'm pulling the trigger.

I'm not even a member of the service, but I check the site regularly because I can read most of their prose stories for free. I was surprised, as I thought some with the subscription would've reported here before me.

No point in bothering with the sale as of now. Best I can tell, everything that is labeled "door buster" is regular price.

Clear your cache. That happened with the last sale. Some very good deals on the door busters.

Both predacus sets are 75 off. Pulled the trigger. Flipping the box set, I only need the loose. Grabbed a couple comics and that bw depth charge. Nine bucks, hey why not. Nothing else I need right this second, see what kind of last minute clearance prices happen in a month.

Kind of shows how the club has fumbled the ball in the past four five years though. They can't get rid of some of these sets and exclusives. I paid 200+ cdn for the waruders set a year and a half ago; clearance for sixty USD. Ouch. Too many of their exclusives haven't even retained their value. Ah well.

Worth noting they added sub Impactor to the store. No sale, $79, but I know some folks who ONLY wanted him out of sub 4.0.

Only things I were interested in were the 4.0 figures, Tigatron & Unit 3, and the older comics. None of that is on sale. I'm disappointed.

Isn't it about time they got rid of this club/member restriction is they are shutting up shop ?

I've not had a 2016 Membership so that is inconvenient then isn't it.

That's a very nice set. I'm working on getting a few pieces for different members of our local TF group, but in the time it's taken to collect all the money, Marissa Faireborne sold out on one of the buyers. Whee. lol.

I really want timelines issue 9 and the predacus issue but can't because I'm not a member:-(

I'm hoping to get the botcon comic when diamond publishes it for retail. I've been getting them since 2008 and totally forgot to get last years because I went 100% digital with comics so hopefully I can remember to pick it up.

I don't (and never have had) membership, but there's several of the more recent sets that looked worth getting (had they been a more reasonable price). Top of that was the Predacus one. The combined mode looks awesome, and I wish I had the opportunity to order him.

Also, I noticed I earned a news credit. Awesome! I also noticed that I didn't get mentioned in the news article. Less awesome, but I'm happy for the credit. This seems stupid to ask, but if an admin is reading this post, could one PM some of the details that revolve around the news posts and the credits to the people that point the info out?

My question is what happens to the excess stock that they have at the end of the year? Will they be allowed to post it at the G.I.Joe club store? Does it get sent to Hasbro to put on the Toy Shop website? Or does Fun Pub go insane and have a major bonfire?

I would've ordered Predacus months ago if I could've simply gotten the bagged set. As it is, I pulled the trigger on the combo (with this sale) with full intention of flipping the box set ASAP. Silly business.

Still really looking forward to Predacus though.
