PROPS & TEMPLATESI can’t recall whether or not I got to share any of these here or, if I actually did, was able to tack on any of the most recent additions within the lot so I’m just going to go ahead and give you all a nice mix bag.
Is just as it reads – Some prop & template art. Working on the RDD/HMW comic and on the Metatisic saga, I’ve had to construct a lot of background and background scenery —
LOTS of it! This usually means a lot of DVD watching and pausing to ensure I’m being as accurate as possible, especially with scenes I know that are going to be familiar to TF fans. Shots of the Decepticon crypt, for example. I usually build these in grayscale since the comic is B&W, save the template, and catalog those as ‘screentones’ should I ever need them again in any future scenes. Others are kept in color.
Others still, do not exist and have to be built from scratch from the ground up. These include props and various interior scenery. Most of these are going to be in the saga and HMW comic in one form or another

Definitely a brand-new one seeing as I just scanned this only yesterday night. And yes I know, he needs to be colored yet. Metatisic recently turned 21 here this passed December and this was just a sketch I had done to commemorate it.

I was going to need several wall reliefs for the ‘construction’ of the walls at the old ‘Plaza’ in Cybertron for behalf of the RDD/HMW comic. My goal was also to make these drawing look as much as possible like real ancient wall carvings — complete with weathering, age, and erosion. I did this by creating the background first, placing at the actual drawing itself on another layer marked, ‘Bevel’, and using various brushes to dent and scuff the line work. -- Presto!

The Iysurus complex; scenes from the Mets saga.

And finally — Working on Sunblast. I promise, E that he'll be done soon. Promise, 'kay.
