Discuss anything about the Transformers cartoons and comics! You can discuss anything from G1 to Cybertron as well as the comics from Marvel, Dreamwave, IDW and more!

Just saw this on TFW2005:
'UK Transformers site Transformers @ The Moon is reporting that in the UK Transformers Animated will not air on Cartoon Network. No indication has been given as to who will be carrying the show in their place. We will update you as soon as more news becomes available.'
Thought everyone here would like to know about it

Perhaps you misunderstand. We are not getting this.
Or perhaps I misunderstand. Do you not like what you see of it?
Thinking about it, it's probably the latter, but just thought I'd check.

Nobody said we are not getting the series.
Entertainment Rights were sold the international television rights by Hasbro for the series, and they will sell it on to whoever wants it. At this point, CN UK either dont want the series or another channel is going to broadcast the episodes.

Front Paged and Credited.
Not good news for you UK members, though you may still get the series surely not being on CN will stuff things up big time.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Why are people being really silly suddenly?
1. We are getting the toys
2. Armada, Energon and Cybertron all aired on CN in USA, but none of them aired on CN in the UK.
3. The only news here is that no channel has the broadcast rights yet OR no channel has announced that they have the rights. There is still a month until the series airs in the US so no need to panic.

Wow. I know that the Brits are already disgruntled. This is going to push you over the edge!

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

well there is that really anoying green dragon on pop (616 and 627 on sky) thats shows the G1 cartoons series at 7pm and 10pm (plus a really cool show called super duper sumos at 2.30pm that reminds me of myself) but they could try the amimated, and sky-one might in the morning when they used to show armada cartoons a few years back

It's no big deal for me. I get all the stuff I want to watch from the net. I'm not a TV person so I'm not going to fork out for an expensive cable/satellite system when I can get it off the net for free. Not that I would pay for the system anyway. Murdoch and Branson are rich enough.

You'd think with the whole Transformers revival lately most channels would love to just have the name 'Transformers' on regardless fo the show's quality.
