Will there be a toy line for the new show? After seeing the first 2 episodes, I am impressed with both Prime and Megatron. Are there plans to release toys for the show?

I wish I could find the source, but I remember reading that Hasbro has told their stockholders that TF Prime merchandise will be on the shelves in 2011.

Am I the only one who's skeptical about this?
I mean consider what we know: Dark of the Moon will be out in July of next year. The Toys like with previous shows should be starting to be released a month before that.
That leaves 5 months to deal with, of which we know at least for the first 2 we'll still be getting Generations, and Reveal the Shield stuff. Leaving only 3 months to make and market a toy line for a show that would have been on for almost 5 months already by then. We don't even know if Prime is getting a second season.
My money is on them maybe and that's a big maybe making a few Prime related toys and sicking them in with Reveal the Shield or whatever the next iteration is going to be called like they did with WFC, before moving on to the movie toys, which should be taking up pretty much all of their time until release.
They'll stretch the lines we have now until then in some shape and form, but in no way do I expect a full fledged line of Prime toys to be released.

This bothers me. How the hell do you have a TF show with no toys or a damn theme song!? Transformers is known for awesome themesongs, how the hell do you not have one!? Toylines too, the 2 greatest things about Transformers got screwed over with one of the best shows ever. Damn.

Kinda silly that they release Prime w/ no toys and PCC w/ no show. I just can't believe they still haven't begun to sell My Little Pony Crossovers, what are they waiting for already!!!

There are going to be toys, chill.
Hasbro is not a studio, it is a toy company. Therefore, everything they release in other media such as film and media WILL have a toy. Hence why Megatron renamed himself Galvatron THRICE within the same continuity. Hence why Optimus always has a jetpack somewhere. And hence why Starscream, Thundercracker, Ramjet, Skywarp and co. have the same body, with a few design changes.
There will be toys.

I hope we dont get 3-4 versions of the same characters. The movie we're just flooded with bumblebee, starscream, megatron, prime in all different forms and recolors.
I hope prime is taking its time with toys to get it right.

This, I question as well.
In the time it will probably take to even get a TF prime toyline off the ground, the next movie will be upon us and it'll get cut off. Unless they somehow manage to keep Prime going along side the movie line, but if they do I'm calling bulls***! They canceled every line running prior to the releases of each of the first 2 movie lines, and Animated was just getting better and better before it was cancelled!

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.
I'm a killjoy, and proud of it!
don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...
