Huh...I didn't even notice the gun was black the first time I looked at these. I just always assumed it would be and didn't really look for it. This is quickly being chalked up as a pass. The head doesn't seem much different, I don't need another rage face, I prefer the tread forearms with the Shapeway set to put NB's blade where it's supposed to go, and the gun isn't purple. Unless I want to paint an extra head myself for a more G1 look, there just doesn't seem to really be any reason to get this anymore. I think someone's gonna need to paint one up and post some pics that sell me...

I never bought anything from Shapeways before. Ordering seems kind of complex. I seen some pretty cool stuff from designers who use it though. My hopes is that TFC might have addressed the concerns of the arm pegs from stripping with the upgrade. Bummed about the gun being black. Especially after remembering that the Crazydevy gun is way too oversized for my taste. Im hoping that company with the new "king tut" heads for Hercules does a proper purple gun.

I'd say the black rifle is TFC's answer to the complaints about the guns that came with the individual figures. Too bad they missed the part where we said it was the red guns we weren't digging.

End of July - according to RK.

TFC Toys have updated their facebook page with package shots of the TFC-007 Rage of the Hercules set. This set allows Exgraver and Neckbreaker's treads to be positioned on the shoulders of Hercules and comes with separate forearms to give a more G1 inspired look. The set also features a new gun, alternate head and face plate, and poster. The set is scheduled to release on August 7th.

And now I just cancelled my preorder with BBTS until I learn how widespread this issue is...

since it looks like a molding problem, I may wait for the eventual re-release.

It's an assembly issue...


The one on the left shows the pegs on opposite sides, while the left one shows both pegs on the same side. It's the one on the right that has the issue.

Anybody got pics of what it looks like with the shoulder extensions installed while still using the original treads as forearms? That's how I plan to configure mine so I'm just wondering how it will look.

How widespread is this issue?

We don't know as only blueben has reported that so far. I'm hoping to get my set tomorrow, if not by Monday next week. If I get it earlier, I'll post pics. RK just started shipping out stuff on the 29th of July (earliest in the posts that I've seen).

How do you tag a youku video anyway?

Hopefully, that was just a dud. If not, TFC seems to be pretty good at fixing QC issues. They might send the replacement parts to the dealers. I wouldnt worry about TFC. They want to make sure people stay on board for Superion.

I wish I knew how to paste a youtube video to the site like the news crew do. The control pannel never works. I still dont even know how people "quote" only part of someones comment. I wish they would create a tutorial for that HTML stuff.

-the sculpting is different on the lower portion of the head than any other sculpting we've seen...

-the visors will swap between faces

-the faces can be swapped between heads

-the new visor is thicker...maybe to help stop breakages

-in person the set looks a lot better...

oh sorry that was ment for rated x.

I just got mine yesterday. In the end, I'm glad to have the poster, the card, and a thicker visor.

It looks nice as a part of Hercules, but it doesn't integrate well into the individual robots. Which, is a personal preference, but is a HUGE deal to me. Also, I love the way the tread arms are... Well... Arms.
