I pre-ordered the first two and just pre-ordered SR-71 Blackbird a few hours ago. Looking at this latest reveal for the set I'm beginning to wonder if this is worth the money. F15 Eagle & F4 Phantom don't seem to be able to store the Superion hands and feet and SR-71 Blackbird looks like a block with a jet fused to its back like the 80's toy.

The Hercules set was fantastic and is one of my favourites but that quality engineering doesn't seem to be present with the Uranus set.

Anyone else getting second thoughts about this one?

I'm having the opposite feelings, Art. I don't have any 3rd party TF's & was considering making this my first, but I do see merit in what you have said.
On the topic if engineering, it seems easier (obviously) to produce robots out of blocky building machines than it is from jets, so maybe after Hercules the expectations are a bit higher than normal ? If you're still unsure, just cancel mate, save yourself the money and headaches
