How do the hands work? Is there a thumb on each side of do you have to switch them between bot modes?

Man... there is so much that is awesome about this figure, and so much that could have been done better (and has been done better, by customizers... myself included) Still, I hope the faces at least get some better colour before they ship these bad boys.

I agree that the heads still need some work, but the completist in me now wishes I had purchased two in order to display both bots side by side. But then I remember how much he costs and I decide that one is just fine.

Man I am really bummin' about the size of this figure's head ... especially after defending the head from the design to people a few months ago. I kind of feel the same way about this head that I do about BotCon 2005 Ironhide, Ratchet, BotCon 2006 Megatron, and Club Nightbeat. Some of the Club/BotCon head sculpts are beautiful but some of the others are pretty off the mark.

Paint apps are a little shoddy, but I expect that will not be the case for the final figures.

Looks awesome though! Can't wait til it arrives.

When I read the headline on the front page, and saw the picture they chose to match the head line, my first thoughts were "I like where this is going..."

I'm sorry to the people who preordered him and are disappointed, but this is hilarious! So small a head, such horrible paint job, really bad mould on the autobot side. Wow. The size of the head really gets me. This is awesome, makes me glad I don't do exclusive preorder toys.

EDIT: Of course, there are still dozens of EXCELLENT exclusive preorders out there, but this is just... wow

I hope Takara/Hasbro come out with their own version of Punch/Counterpunch.
With a better paintjob Henkei Classics or Universe Deluxe with nice packaging to do this guy right. And less expensive because it's should not be brought out as an exclusive at all. All sentient beings have the right to own a G1 looking PNCTRP.

For the money i shelled out for this guy, i really REALLY hope this is not the final product of P/CP! cause im gonna be pissed off!! and not only that, when i first heard about him i decided to venture out and nab my first TFCC exclusive figure and if C/CP look like this when i get him, he will be my last. I hope Dion looks better.

We already essentially know that the paint markings are a way to blemish the figure so that it won't sell. Much like when they partially melt a face to prevent test product from being sold. The paint isn't the issue.

That will be fixed.

The issue is whether that's the final head sculpt/size.

I really do like this figure quite a lot, but there is no way I am paying the going rate for this thing. It just isn't that important to me at all. I think Diem pretty well said what I was thinking already earlier in this thread. I am not a huge fan of the mold, and the head is weird, and the cost is just too high. Heck, I even passed on Sunstreaker.....and I could have gotten him for $10. Just not what I want I suppose. Even if the head gets fixed, it just isn't my cup-o-tea. cool figure though none-the-less.

The head is a touch small but it isn't a dealbreaker for me. That's good cuz I'm in for two of em. :lol:

Yeah, the head IS kinda small, but that's not a prob imo. I actually like the purple on the back and the license plate is kitchy. Until I get this suckah in my hands, I don't regret pre-ordering him.

Since I only got one of these, he's gonna be in Spy mode...but for which side? :twisted:
