Nevermind. I figured this out. If you hold the head in the down position and start to rotate the piece to move the head up, it will go into place and work properly. 5 second fix. All set!

You should be able to make your money back on the figure. He's going pretty well so far with some of the auctions.
As for what you are aksing with 3rd party companies and Takara, those will always be shot in the dark questions. The answer could swing either way. If there would be a 3rd party to make a new head for him, I'd keep an optic out for HeadRobots to do something.
Logistics question: How much bigger can his head get before it don't fit in his chest though?

His head can be the same size as Sideswipe's, though I'm not sure how well the visor flipping over the alternate face gimmick would work. I'm sure it has to be possible though.
