- $195 for the set, mint and complete (with paperwork) but opened is a fine price, or just average?
- Is there any mold degradation? How's the plastic quality on these babies?
Thanks!

The plastic is great, there are minor mold wear problems like the pegs on the hands not being straight any more and Tentakill's legs fold out with such pressure they feel breakable. Most everything else is alright though.

Because it's what you're familiar with or because you own them both and came to the decision by comparitive analysis?

Neat. I thought that my Tentakill was the only one that felt like that. If nothing else I'm glad to know it's not just mine but apparently a mold wear problem.
I have two points/questions:
How can the Seacons be mold-worn when this TFCC set was their third release? I've seen some things about Encore Bruticus having some mold problems, but the Combaticons have been released more times than anything in the world. How can such an un-used set of molds be worn out already?
Point/question #2: 'Memeber when the Club first showed us pictures of the Seacon set and so many people were all like "Eeew, nasty. Thank god for NIGHTBEAT!!! NIGHTBEAT!!!! ARRRGGGEEEEEGGGHHHHH!!!!" and now the Seacons sell for all kindsa money, were pre-ordered to extinction, and the Club still has a bunch of Nightbeats in stock, becasue it was crap? I'm just asking....

Well, people are idiots. That's a starting point in explaining the thing.
The other bit to contend with is that the Seacons just began to look better and better, while Nightbeat was revealed to have no antenna and was produced in greater numbers.

It's due to age. Not only do the molds deteriorate by use, but also naturally thanks to materials used. Some age faster than others.

I understand all of that, I guess I'm just all kinds of surprised that the Seacons molds have suffered while hardly being used, and yet we are still getting Combaticons. It's just amazing to me I guess. I'm guilty too though, as I have purchased a number of sets of Combaticons in my lifetime.
