The 2008 Botcon set featured a theme titled 'Shattered Glass'. Long story short, the Autobots are bad, and the Decepticons are good. The alternate universe continues, as one of the Transformers Collectors' Club exclusives this year happens to be Shattered Glass Cyclonus. It's a repaint of Universe Cyclonus in colors that mirror Generation One Rodimus Prime. He comes with his targetmaster, a repaint of Universe Nightstick, called Krunix. Check out the images below, thanks to ACToys.net member 反冲 once again.

I like the 'other' one better. Scattershot.

I thought this was going to have some shininess to it, but I must just be thinking of the Henkei special.

I have one on pre-order, and I'll keep it, but it's kind of sad when I like the targetmaster better than the main bot.

Great mold though!

I'm sorry, I love Shattered Glass, but when I look at this guy an old saying from back when I was a carpenter comes to mind, two actually. "Looks like s@#$, nail it" & "Can't see it from my house." I don't think a transformer has ever brought about those phrases to me before. If they would have kept all the chromey coloring the photoshop pics had then it would be tolerable. But this just sucks.

I myself don't care for it, I much prefer the original, Hasbro Cyclonus (the TT version was...too purply), but I get what they're doing here, and I can understand the color scheme.

That being said, what ruins it for me? The gray/beige paint apps. Why would you take two beautiful, stand out colors that scream "BUY ME!" and then ugly them up with this?

He'd fare much better with chrome, or black, or another orange and red combo. Make them orange where it meets red, and red where it meets orange.

I think it's great that they tried to break up the monotony, but seriously, this is a bad, bad choice and ruins the oomph of the design.

Funny, that's what I think of when I see the Hasbro Cyclonus. Beautiful mold with that gray (almost prototype like) color dragging the figure down. It doesn't blend well with that dark purple. Waaaaaaay too much white/gray used on that figure.

So while the gray does bother me some here, it's hardly an issue when compared to the Universe Cyclonus. I like this Shattered Glass Cyclonus.

IMHO, this is one exclusive the club hasn't screwed up. Glad to see they can handle repaints. Of course remolded heads and the like are another issue.

Yes, but it would be cool to get a show/comic-accurate Rodimus and SG Cyclonus isn't really helping.

The grey ruins this for me, I always said I would get an actual released version but I don't want it. I will stick to my repaint.

It takes its cue from the marvel comic Headmasters. It was a misdrawn Cyclonus renamed in the UK reprinting.

I'll say this, I have Hasbro Cyclonus, Henkei Cyclonus (light purple version) and recently got the Japanese repaint Strafe and all 3 that I have look a hell of alot better than this..... :SICK:

I do think he looks better then the pics we have seen from the Club. I don't have much of a SG Decepticon shelf (got tons of Bots though), so I might just add him to my Cyclonus Armada with Henkei Strafe, Henkei Cyclonus, and US Cyclonus.
