Visually, I'd love to see the setting on screen. It's not a great lot, so if it isn't to your liking, you can always enjoy the scenery!
(NB: I know it isn't formatted correctly here, but it's the best I can do!)
EXT. Frozen Lakes – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
A sky-blue Kenworth cab (W-900) HAULS a flatbed trailer, loaded with man-sized pipes, across one of the many frozen lakes.
INT. Kenworth Cab – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
The driver of the truck is an Alex Debogorski-type; slightly portly with a big beard, wrapped in many layers of heat-conserving gear.
As he concentrates on guiding his load, a CRACKLING is heard through the radio:
(Off-screen, radio)
Home One to Big Bear, Home One to Big bear, do you copy, over?
The driver (‘BIG BEAR’) PICKS the radio up:
Big Bear copies, Home One, what’s the story, over?
(Off, radio)
Uh, you got some big cracks across the road up ahead...More than a couple-o’ inches wide. I wouldn’t risk going around it, the sheet’s getting thinner, over...
Uh...Thanks. We’ve only got a mile to go; I think we can risk it. Over and out!
He HOOKS the receiver back and PATS the dash with his gloved hand:
Hear that buddy? We might have a ‘Trap Door’ up ahead...
He sits up and SHIFTS the truck down to the lowest gear.
You ready?
EXT. Road – Frozen Lake – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
The truck seems to GRUMBLE as it’s guided over the ice. It steadily passes over a gap that swerves back around and across the path again further up. The ice can regularly be heard SETTLING.
Bear leans out of his window and sees the second crossing drawing ever-so-steadily. The ice STRAINING is more prominent.
CRACK! The ice beneath the cabin drops a few inches. The truck slows down and then more CREAKING can be heard.
INT. Kenworth Cab – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
Bear has frozen, but he quickly SHIFTS the stick into gear and HITS the acceleration. The truck JOLTS forward.
EXT. Road – Frozen Lake – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
The front axle of the truck CATCHES the solid ice in front. The back end is starting to sink more rapidly and is pulling the vehicle into the water.
As fast as he can, Bear gets out of the cab and scales the side of it, reaching the nose and LEAPING to the safer ice. He ROLLS away before seeing the last of his truck disappear under the ice.
There is a large mound to the side of the ice road (a small frozen island). Bear reaches it for safety before looking back at the hole, which he can now see more clearly.
Come on, Magnus...
It seems silent, until the flat-bed trailer, with all the pipes, is THROWN out of the hole, LANDING and CLATTERING further up the road.
CRUNCH! A huge, man-sized hand GRABS the edge of the hole. Another hand emerges, followed by an arm that lays and grasps onto the surface. They heave up a huge mechanical body comprising of pieces of the truck cab; the vehicle has transformed into a human-shaped Cybertronian.
Autobot ULTRA MAGNUS CRAWLS out of the hole in the ice, and COLLAPSES onto his back on the mound, breathing a SIGH OF RELIEF:
Boy, that’s annoying...
(CHUCKLING)
You’ve been through worse!
I’m fine, thank you...!
He GETS UP:
Which is more than can be said for your driving!
Ah...Old age...
Bear lets out a HEARTY LAUGH. Magnus CHUCKLES with him:
Tell me about it!
He starts to COLLECT the pipes together and BIND them up again. Bear huddles himself as he observes.
Magnus GRABS the trailer and DRAGS it toward the pipes. After a moment, Magnus freezes; he SNIFFS the air. He turns to the direction of the odour.
Magnus DROPS the trailer and DRAWS a blade from his arm like a massive switch-blade.
Big Bear looks around to see if he can see what Magnus can sense. He can’t; the WINDS are too strong.
Al...Go, now!
After a beat, Bear (Al) starts to RUN (in the direction he was initially driving), leaving Magnus facing the other way with intense anticipation.
Magnus tries to scan the vast wasteland; his thermal vision is useless and his electrical scan is being heavily disrupted by the oncoming blizzard.
WHAM! From the white a black, skeletal figure POUNCES on Magnus, throwing him back several dozen metres with a PUNCH, FLOORING him.
This other figure is another Cybertronian. With blood-red eyes, it glares at Magnus, who gets back up.
The BLIZZARD becomes stronger; all we hear is the WIND as the two alien giants face each other. The dark figure THROWS his fist toward Magnus’ abdomen. The Autobot STOPS the arm, locking it in place. The point of contact hardly creates a dent.
Magnus spins and KICKS the figure away, whilst DRAWING his fusion cannon. As fast as he can, he BLASTS the dark figure multiple times. However the shots hardly slow it down. Any limbs damaged quickly REGENERATE and REPAIR themselves...Almost automatically.
The figure viciously STRIKES Magnus in the face and chest, downing him. He STANDS on his cannon arm and his chest, before crouching down so that their faces meet:
Where is Optimus Prime?!
EXT. Truck Depot – Canada – Arctic Circle – Day
Bear has reached the depot. He looks back to see if Magnus is anywhere, but all he sees is the BILLOWING blizzard.
He STUMBLES through the parked trucks. Another truck driver sees him:
Hey Bear, you walk all the way? Where’s your truck?
It’s coming...I think!
He fell through the ice again, huh? C’mon, let’s get you inside.
They LUMBER through the snow to the nearest cabin.
Not so far away, on what seems to be an ice hill, the dark figure watches. He JUMPS down and in between two Kenworth cabs. He SCANS the one furthest away from the cabins and then INCINERATES the vehicle as quickly (and mess-free) as possible.
Out of the nearest building, another truck driver STEPS out, braving the WINDS...And sees that the same two cabs are there.
The black and purple-trimmed Kenworth T-900 is now the alternate mode for the Decepticon MOTORMASTER.
And there you go! ^^ Feedback is much appreciated, but then again, so is reading it to begin with! Haha
