I am pleased to announce that transformers managed to come in 12th place on channnel 4's "100 greatest toys with Jonathan Ross"
12th was a good place with some strong contenders!
I don't have any qoutes from the show, or anything like that, but it was a three-hour long program counting down so i think we were at about two hours 30 mins.
will update with more info if i can find it/be bothered to.

I fell asleep 2/3rds of the way though the program. 12th place is not bad at all.

Why is Wii #4 and Nintendo Consoles #5? Nintendo doesn't have any other consoles on the market that I'm aware of.
However, if this is one of those all time deals, then it makes sense. Sorta.
But Star Wars above Transformers? I'll agree to that. Were I still a youngling Star Wars would be the greatest thing since sliced bread to me.
D&D surprises me though.

I'm surprised consoles are that high - any named console, especially the "young" Wii are just temporary spaceholders, and will be forgotten in some years (and I don't see Commodore 64 on the list...)

I'll tell ya what surprises me- Scrabble beating Transformers. That's just weird to me.
Oh, and don't forget about the N64. i loved playing Golden Eye on that system.....

i think d & d is a bit of a suprise but not really as this was partly decided by an internet poll.
the people who played and or play D&D may well be th nerdyer, geekier types, who spend a lot of time on the internet and thus could get d+d so high.
