Thanks for the tip. TJ Maxx and Marshalls are two of my favorite discount stores for Transformers(No Ross here :-(

). I've checked both for the past 2 months. Hope I get lucky soon.

Cybertron Optimus Prime, I had him in my hand but decided I wanted Megaman Zero 4 instead, I have regretted that decision ever since.

Some others include generations WFC Optimus Prime, WFC Megatron and Marvel crossovers Wolverine.

Walmart-exclusive Constructicon Devastator. He was marked down to something like $25(!).

The Energon gestalts were being re-released around that time at the discount stores. I had just gotten Wideload, leaving me only Bonecrusher to complete my Energon Construction Team. Since it seemed that the whole Energon Air Team had been re-released at the discount stores, I was sure the same would apply to the Construction Team.

Alas, Wideload was the only Construction Team limb to be re-released.

Now I'm stuck w/ a Constructicon Maximus w/o an arm/leg.

Since I'm on the subject of Energon combiners, in addition to Bonecrusher, I missed out on Blight & Blackout.

RotF Leader class Megatron. My local Walmart had them on clearance at 40 or 50$. I was not really into TF at the time so I passed.

NOW that I finally want him, the cheapest one is 100$+40$ shipping on Ebay!!!!
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENNED?!

I thought RotF Leader Megs was not that great of a figure...

oh my god! i guess getting a non moded one is outta the question. i customized mine and would like a normal one. damn it. and that has got to be the worst megs ever, how the hell is he selling like that!?!?!?

I have my theory about why RotF Leader Megs is worth so much even if he's pretty poopy...
NO DotM LEADER MEGS IS OUT YET.
So, many people are craving for a leader megs. So, they ALL went to buy the substitute AT THE SAME TIME, thus creating an unexpected demand and the insane price hike.

I got G1 Omega Supreme for xmas when he first came out (1985?)anyway something was wrong with the way he walked so my mom took him back to the store. They were all sold out, so I got a rain check. They said it would be a few weeks (years to a 7yr old) so I got something else ...and I never saw him again. :sad:

When I look for things on Ebay, I make sure to compare prices with recently completed listings. Actual sales are a more reliable indicator of market value than asking prices. People can ask whatever they want, but those auctions could sit there forever and never sell.

As a side note, sometimes looking in local listings such as Craigslist works. I ordered a Takara Primus from BBTS, only to find a Hasbro Cybertron Primus in a box of Transformers I got for $50 from Craigslist. It's missing half of one finger, the Omega Lock, and I guess a couple missiles, but is in otherwise excellent condition. I'll probably sell him and keep the Takara version. The box also had a Supreme Starscream (missing gun, tail fins) and a bunch of other Cybertron and movie toys. And a few months ago I found an Armada Unicron from another Craigslist seller, plus Tidal Wave, Galvatron, Starscream, and a bunch of other Armada toys. All the rest that I don't want are going up for sale.

I passed up a Generations Drift at Toys R Us, actually there were 2, but I didn't get one. I figured I would wait. Well never saw another one again at retail. I missed out, and will not pay aftermarket prices for him.

I kinda regret not buying Leader Brawl from the 2007 Movie line.

It's available on eBay, but bidding goes up well above retail price, and the Buy-it-Now listings start at $125.

I regret not not having started collecting my Transformer Movie Collection sooner; I missed most of the previous waves prior to the DOTM. I been lucky latelly and I been able to find some older characters at not too bad of a price. Last night I found ROTF Deluxe Iron Hire at TRU near Reliant Arena in Houston.

Seriously, I always regret not having purchased the Energon Ultra Magnus repaint of Armada Overload when I had the chance at Target.

Also regret not tagging Grandus when I had the chance at the TFCC back in 2001. Now it's ridiculously out of range for the cash I have to spend. :-(

Never liked the ROTF leader megs. I still use my one from 2007.. IMO that mold is better than the ROTF... and it seems to be selling for a higher price on ebay :lol:

My regrets are legion.

I didn't get any Universe 2.0 figs when the toys first came out, despite the urging of my wife and owning all of the deluxe/voyager Classics line. I was trying to save cash at the time. I also missed out on some Titaniums, Alternators, and the legend-sized figures for the same reason. With the exception of G1 Titanium Ultra Magnus, I have actually held all of these figures in my hands at one point.

I missed out on Armada and Energon Megatron. Not purchasing Armada Megatron was really weird, since I own all of the Armada figures except him. Again, I held both Megatrons in my hand (once at the same time, even!) and never purchased them.

Nemesis Prime based on the Big Convoy mold. I own a Big Convoy, and the toy is really fun.

I was at a Kay-Bee and had the opportunity to purchase the entire Machine Wars line for less than $60. I passed for some reason I'll never figure out.

And a long, long time ago, a Kay-Bee had a ton of Quickswitches and Sixshots for cheap and I passed on them. Le sigh.

I was at a convention just recently. I saw a Generations Blitzwing at one of the stands. I decided I'd think about it and come back later. When I came back later, it was gone. I still have yet to get ahold of one. :sad:

Dont worry. It's still new and easely obtainable.

For me, it's this SOAB:

I dont remember if I mentioned it before, but back when I wasnt really collecting, I saw a huge pyramid of Leader ROTF Megatron for sale at my local Walmart for 50$. I found it ugly and expensive so I passed. Also, at the same time, they had MP Skywark for 65$. In QUEBEC! Because Walmart. (Why Walmart dont handle MPs anymore?) I passed on MP Skywarp because I wasnt really collecting and again, too expensive.

One year later, the TF collecting bug bit me hard. I kinda regretted Skywarp, but Starscream is more important. My G1 color MP Screamers and Ghost version fill the bill perfectly. Still, even at 30$ used, I passed reapetadly on ROTF Leader Megatron.

Then, DOTM happenned... and a Leader Megs dind't.

So, I went back to Ebay to find it at... 150-200$ USED!!! WTF?!
Oh, regrets. So many regrets.

Then, a few months ago, a fellow Québécois had one for sale. I had a spare Junker MP Starscream and we made a trade. Now, I have my 100% complete and unbroken ROTF Leader Megatron proudly standing in my collection. I even have the box and manual! That toy is way better once you have it in hand I tell you.
