TFCC has tweeted an image of their upcoming subscription service figure Slipstream, and redeco/remold of Transformers Prime First Edition Deluxe Starscream. This images gives a nice look at the remolded head. Click here for more information on TFSS.

2. These ones are actually relatively cheap compared to most exclusives.

NOT Fembot mould, period.
Because of this crap, we probably won't ever get an official slipstream any better than this. Hopefully a 3rd party company pulls it off.
Hasbro/Takara should have a fembot toyline where its just a bunch of female robots who still transform. Not only might it help with the female market, but it would round out our collections :grin:

Some of you are saying the mold doesn't look "feminine" or she doesn't look like a "fembot". I have to disagree. Since Day 1, the Starscream mold has looked more feminine than Arcee...tall, willowy, slender, curvy around the hips and chest...if that's not feminine, I don't know what is.

The mould has no proper breasty chest. Its hunched over like an old creepy man.
The shoulders are way too high up and the thighs aren't round enough. It just makes the mould look more like a creepy old man, which was made for Starscream. Theres enough subtle looks of the figure that are just too masculine. I think, anyway.

Okay, that I can agree with. The head isn't terribly feminine. I was mostly referring to the body of the Starscream mold, which has always looked very feminine to me.

I can see your point. To me, anyway, it still does look like a very feminine mold. I don't think fembots need robo-boobs to be fembots, though. Strika? Minerva? Nightracer? Freezon? Movie Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1? Energon Arcee? The original Flamewar? Flareup? Path Finder? Smallfoot? None of them have what you'd call terribly feminine chests, yet they're still easily identifiable as female. Well...all except Strika, Freezon and Nightracer, and the G1 GoBot femmes anyway.

Count me among the few fans who don't care if fembots are terribly feminine. I also don't understand the point of "lipstick" on a ROBOT..

All things considered... Hasbro/Takara have NO plans to put out a Slipstream. (or else they'd have never let the club do it.) This is hands down the best mold for it. Slim AND with high heels to boot. Head sculpt looks good. Count your blessings we're getting this character, and that it's THIS close to perfect. Quite excited about this one.

Maybe a 3rd party will help with some tiny touch ups to bring it up to perfection.

As was I. I find Prime Starscream to be just feminine enough in terms of mold, though I agree that it has some very masculine cues, a good head swap would make a perfect Slipstream. This is a FAR cry from a perfect new head for a fembot. It's a real shame, since the head is the one thing they got RIGHT with Airachnid.

You know, it's too bad Hasbro/Takara can't pull one of those nice PLANNED switcheroos like they did with Wheeljack/Tracks and Sideswipe/Sunstreaker. You know. Mold some man parts for one version, then some female shape parts and head swap :-?

ie. not just the head, but chest, hips, heels, etc...

Then surprise the wits out of us when they reveal the remold.

Heck, they should do that for ALL the molds!!! Femmebots for each mold! Woooooo! :KREMZEEK:

I like the head alot. It's a good fit for the Prime aesthetic, whereas a straight Animated head would look out of place. The teal and purple look great on this mold, though I'm curious how well they'll look in jet mode.

I don't get the whole issue with a 'feminine' mold. Does it have to have an hourglass busty figure with lipstick and curves all over? Male TFs aren't exactly all chiseled statues of David. It's like those silly cartoon animals whose gf are their clone, but with eyelashes and a skirt, to make sure we understand it's a woman.

I'm know i'm not alone when I say: Obviously each fembot doesn't have to be super extremely feminine, but the right porpotions need to be there. I can't see PE motobot anything other than a fembot, even though she doesn't really have that much of a chest (yet it curves out and back inward at just the right angles to suggest that if it were body armour on a human, boobs would be beneath). The lipstick isn't always necessary, as FE Arcees head is definitely feminine. The G1 Chromia, Firestar, Moonraker all had elements of feminine porpotions, even if they changed drasticly due to rough animation. Cannon or not, if I have a fembot in my collection, I would ideally prefer her to look feminine and not androgynous like Slipstream here. An houreglass figure is definitely a must for me, even if it were Strika; I'd want her massive upper torso to narrow slightly before reaching her massively wide hips, hehe.

I have to agree with the calls for makeup. A little bit of "lipstick" would go a long way to aid with the feminine appearance.

Did you see the new pic they posted? It looks like they did give her dark lips.

I agree with what many others have said here. A woman (robot or not) does NOT require breasts (in fact, what the hell would a ROBOT do with breasts anyway?), does NOT require an hourglass figure (a shape seldom seen in nature, even among human females) and doesn't have to have 'wide childbearing hips' (Cybertronians don't give birth, right? Aren't they all produced by Vector Sigma/Primus?).

All the feminine ques in the Starscream mold are plenty for me, and actually more than necessary, so much so that many complained about just how feminine he looked in Prime.

They're aliens. Alien fembots (who according to the lore were experimented with by Jhiaxus as he saw females from other alien species). If we're not going with this, or any theory of what makes a fembot a fembot, what does make it a fembot? Just the title "fem"? Its a ridiculous debate since we all know what sexy is, so why not have sexy fembots. You really want a rosie'o donnel looking fembot?
You even just said that the Starscream mould has female characteristics, so then why is it such a bad thing to want more of the female characteristics for a fembot?

This isn't about realism in robots, because, for starters, its a fantasy from the get go. Second, even if you did go with the lore, and the cartoons, the characters who were fembots often did have female porpotions in some way or form, whether their voice, lips, eyes, or body. Coming back to the figure itself, it has no voice, so it depends on looks to make it a fembot. If the Starscream mould is good enough for you, great. I'm here to ensure a message goes through to the few people who make Transformers that we need a better, more feminine Slipstream. I don't want a fat, or manly Slipstream, JUST coz it isn't necessary for the pseudo rules of Transforming robots.

- An Hourglass figure doesn't mean she has to have "perfect" porpotions, but generally female porpotions. Just wanted to clear that up so people didn't think I was being super critical.
