What are your favorite weapons for those occasions when your favorite Transformer's weapons are just not going to cut it? Whether Autobot or Decepticon, sometimes, they just need better than what have. Whose guns do you hand out to the troops for when they need a little bit more firepower to even the odds? What 5mm weapons are in your figure's armory? Which are your favorites and why?

Swords. I have a real "thing" for cool looking Japanese robots with swords.

I have no idea why.

All I have left of my Powermaster Optimus is one of his guns, so I gave it to Universe Onslaught. I trade around the transparent weapons around from Energon between my scout figures, depending on what I think looks best at the time. My Animated voyager Optimus has the axe from the deluxe 2 pack Optimus. I replaced RotF Bludgeon's sword with one I carved out of a dowel rod.

ive only done this for my neo g1 display. i took a gun from a KO Defensor and gave it to animated Optimus Prime to be his Ion Rifle. Energon Arcee's oversized guns look a lot better in my custom painted Animated Arcee's hands. Kicker (whos playing the role of Spike) gets an old G1 figure's gun i found while closet cleaning. Classics Bumblebee is holding the gun from his old Pretender incarnation. and last but not least, i let Transmetal Rattrap borrow one of G1 Hot Rods guns

I actually stripped a KO Sky Garry of his 2 little guns, and gave them to ROTF Sideswipe. They fit perfectly in his tiny hands.

I also gave Universe Sunstreaker the sword/tail from Energon Cruellock. Looks great wielding the huge translucent green blade.

I think my most used weapons (when I had more than a handful of TFs) were as follows:
-Over-Run. For some reason, Armada was criminally negligent in the 'guns' department despite the number of 5mm connections. So, being pretty close to the only gun, this guy got shuffled around and used a lot.
-Gunbarrel. Another Armada Mini-Con, one I still have. Turns into this quasi energy gatling gun thing. No 5mm handle, but still great for any figure with Powerlinx ports.
-Energon Cruelock's combined sword/gun weapon. Not as ridiculously oversized as Energon Starscream's weapon, but still a wicked looking sword.
-Deluxe sized Energon Optimus's gun. Even with Energon, there were still not many good guns to go around. This was pretty much the only redeeming quality of Energon Prime's fatness.

Thats about it, really. Sadly, all I have anymore is Gunbarrel.

I keep hoping a 3rd party will put out a generic weapons pack filled with IDW based gun designs for nobody in particular, kind of like Fan Project's Bruticus shotguns or TFC's Gear of War 2 set, except just generic cool looking weapons, at a somewhat reasonable price. But, chances are I'll just have to keep hoping and build my figure's armory using G1 weapon lots on eBay instead.

Energon Starscreams sword/assault rifle/GIANT sword combo get passed around a lot. One of my fav weapons from one of my fav figures!

Same. That was the whole reason I bought that 2-pack. I finally sold the Megatron to someone, now I have to see if I can find anyone who wants a gangrenous Optimus with no axe, heh.

I put a new handle on an old rifle from G1 Snarl (who, by the way, is long gone and in no need of the gun) and gave it to Classics Bumblebee. Now that I have a pistol for him (Thank you Fansproject!) it's floating around until it finds another poor unfortunate robot with no gun.
I accidentally broke the small peg off of the gun that came with Spychanger WARS (making the gun useless to him) and found out that the rest of the handle is sized perfectly for Transmetal Rattrap. One quick paintjob later and Mr. "I feel naked without my gun" finally had one!
