1-it wont be inscale
2-we already have 2 legends over 10 versions of the deluxe AND a human alliance version
3-this one looks almost exactly like the human alliance bumblebee

I thought they would have done Blackout/Grindor in a leader class
I think I remember hearing something about that a long time ago
But as cool as it might sound there is already the ultimate version
which is about the same size so it makes no sense as to why they would
do this

HOLY ****! I litterally pissed my pants after seeing this! Too awsum! There are wayy too many bumblebees, but they just keep getting better for some reason. Im kind of dissapointed that we gont get The Fallen, or Grindor. But this is PERFECT for my new 3 hour stopmotion, where Optimus dies and Bumblebee gets elected new leader. PERFECT :grin:

I guess I will be the one to say it. The gimmick for the ROTF leader class speech looks like it doesn't exist on this pic. I agree about the multi-colored lights being an issue, plus if you really look at i,t there is alot of vehicle mode kibble missing. It really looks like a custom ultimate BB. But if Hasbro wants collectors to hate BB for the rest of his existance, driving him into the ground with a ton of molds, remolds, and repaints is the way to do it

Ya really. I don't understand why people don't get this. You ask any child who there favorite Transformer is and they'll say Bumblebee. Sure you might get the odd kid that says Prime, but he's yesterdays news to the new generation of Transformers Fans. I'm not saying that to be rude, I'm saying that because the marketing of the brand has shot BB into the spotlight. Ask the same kid if they would like a big Grindor or Blackout figure and they'll look at you blankly then go on to tell you that they love Bumblebee because he's cute and cna shoot blue from his hand.

Evidently, shooting blue from your hand makes you cooler then the other side of the pillow. Bamn, instant strong seller.

Remember we're not the target market. Kids are. Greedy, whiny, bratty, throw a tantrum in Walmart kicking and screaming until you get what you want, kids. So long as those kids have 'rents with disposable income then those BBs won't stick around regardless of mass production.

I'd say that there's 3 groups of people that toys tend to target.

The kids. They'll be the ones buying the kid favourite things, like this Bumblebee for example.

The occasional Transformers fan. By occasional I mean they don't know the lore and can only name a few Transformers. They're into it because Transformers is hip and cool. Don't get offended... I don't think anyone here is an occasional fan. Everyone here probably knows the lore. I'm just saying that the occasional fan will buy something if they think it's cool and fits with what they have. They don't really care about scale or anything like that, they just want a Transformers experience. So yes, they'll get this Bumblebee

The hardcore Transformers fan. That's you and me. We demand a bit more from Hasbro, and this Bumblebee is probably not in our tastes.

...So while we're the ones not liking it, we aren't the voice of the other 2 categories. The kids and the occasional Transformers fans are more numerous than us... Based on the economics and what my buddies Down_Shift and Mkall said... who's going to sell more? A Leader Bumblebee being a fan favourite to just about every toy consumer...... or Leader Blackout/Grindor who's been killed off twice in the movies to us hardcore collectors?

I'm not sure if this proves or disproves anything, but I noticed the battle mask doesn't look like it can slide back up. The V-shaped gap looks too narrow for Bumblebee's "crest", unless the two sides of the mask actually separates, which it doesn't look like it can.

True. Good point. The only ones you left out are the hardcore fans with a limited budget who have kids who buy those toys for their kids because they can justify it to the wife since they're "for the kids". Not that I would know anyone like that... :grin:

Still doesn't explain why Brawl got a leader class toy over Blackout in TF1. Sorry, there I go beating a dead horse again...

Brawl may have gotten a Leader Class simply because a tank works at that size. All those guns and turrets and stuff. A helicopter does what, spin it's blades? Similar problem as the Fallen, awesome robot mode with lots of potential, but weak alternate mode.

Leader BB... Meh. Kinda odd how Jetfire is 'stuck' with big Leader and tiny Legends class toys, but BB gets to start off HA, has that sort of unique Ultimate Class, AND now a Leader. But it's BB. So........... meh.
