What's so awesome about him? Is it his flip out blades that restrict arm movement when stowed away, his shell-forming transformation, his poor combining aspect that removes leg articulation or his overall lack of play features(I admit that Buster Prime's gun removes this last complaint)?

Movie accuracy aside, you gotta look at him from a toy standpoint. he's just not fun to play with. I'm not saying he's a bad toy, it's just that those qualities prevent him from becoming number 1.

Weapon: Electron-Scimitars
I don't know about MP Prime so I can't comment, but this list is great, the only thing I disagree on is RID prime, it just isn't that good to me(I would've fit Movie Leader Brawl into the list but that's just me), plus it has the "cheating" transformation

I take exception to ONE thing you said - RotF Prime is NOT a Shellformer.

Shellformer bits, but not fully.

MP Prime is nigh-perfect. The transformation is a billion times better, too. A bit frustrating the first time but easy every other time. I transformed ROTF-Prime once to truck mode.... and that's it. I hated it. :-x

And MP-Prime is also awesome.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

ROTF Prime is a shellformer. If you remove all of the non-structural panels hanging off him, you can pretty much recreate most of the truck, and that spells shellforming to me.
