Where do people think this line is going to go? I'm excited for the Asia Exclusives appearing domestically, but I think I'll only stick with it if we're going to be seeing new molds....

With that said I don't follow the train of thought of selling something because no more figures will fit in. Regardless of what gets made later the classic figures will still be in high demand because they are quite good. And still be priced high in the secondary market. In fact I think classics will just continue to become more and more desirable as time goes on. So if anything you should be hanging on to them rather than getting rid of them regardless of what happens.

Surely it will increase as time goes by. Just seeing how much Classics Silverstreak is worth after how many were on the shelves in my area is a great indicator of that. I'm just at a point in my life where there are a lot of things I need to buy (schooling, a reliable car to get to school, an engagement ring etc.) I'd also love to start collecting the Masterpiece line.
So it's certainly not because there may not be figures for the line down the road. It's just that... If there was a good stopping place for me... It's probably now...

It's not 2013, sir. But then this IS Hasbro we're talking about.

The "Classic" style will turn up again sooner or later, though with FoC being the main focus I don't think we'll be seeing it for a while (certainly not in 2012). I'm kinda surprised with Scourge and Depth Charge being club exclusives as it seemed like those molds were designed with those characters in mind (club/convention exclusives always struck me more as making do with what they got), though I still don't think the exclusives are meant to "replace" Classic-style Generations. Same for the "Asia-exclusive GDO" figures.

FOC Ultra magnus comes to mind fair enough he's in foc line smaller figures but why give him a deluxe he should have been a voyager i hate the thought of having the classics line ruined by scale issues my worst fear and best example they all turn out like shockwave .
If the foc line is the start of the 2013 40 and iv'e counted them up correct then it's minus 17 all ready and if the wreckers go to retail 22 and if they were crazy enough to include the asia exclusives 38

They'll release 40 new Classics figures. Half of them will be voyagers. Voyagers will be the same size is deluxes were a few years ago. We'll be paying 23+ for decent size deluxes.
(This is speculation based on Sod's Law, NOT any official news)

I wish I could call this into question, but I can't.
I have a bad feeling about the new C/G we'll be getting... if at all.

That's a ridiculous question. It seems that almost everyone is sick of Bee.craggy wrote:Would it be better or worse if the currently announced FOC, formerly Asia exclusive and the like were counted against the supposed 40 new figures, or if those 40 new figures were announced tomorrow, as all being variants of Bumblebee?

Being sick of Bumblebee doesn't mean we won't get a Shadow Strike Classics Bee.
By the truckload.

indeed, it is a ridiculous question.
now, a less ridiculous one: Which of those two scenarios is more likely?
edit: Of course, I'd love to be proved wrong and for Hasbro to unveil 40 new Generations toys, all brand new molds of characters we've been begging for (or almost all new, they can chuck in the DOTM Deluxes that never got released in the US) and I'll be over the moon. I just don't think it's all that likely.
Granted, I did say something about me not thinking it likely Hasbro was going to visit the concept of combiner teams in a main line any time soon, and a few days later FOC Bruticus was revealed...so there is hope.
