Sizewise Overload is a Deluxe class figure. So no big heads. But CW Brawl sounds pretty well matching. Especially the size. I'm just not sure if I should turn my G2 Brawl or Nosecone into a headless bot. I might turn Nosecone into a Headmaster as I gave him CounterPunch's Prime armor anyway but any Titan Master will definitly not scale with him.

Fascinating. Sorry I missed that bit, but there are definitely 1:1 KOs of Brawl (and fireflight) on eBay if you don't feel like decapitating anybody.

Anyone have good recommendations for a CW Rotorstorm head? Thinking about RiD Stormshot, but willing to try other options. Currently, I have a headless, blue Alpha Bravo with big arms.

The website sirtoys has a bunch of OSKOs, among other knock-off transformers, and undersized ones too. I considered getting an undersized CW Megatron for parts, until I saw their shipping charges.

Uh, yea, I know about OSKOs pretty well. BensCollectables or now it's his second channel BensKOllectables reviewed a lot of OSKOs and EmGo some, as well. But I just never heard this term/abbreviation.

I know, right? I would really like to order from RobotKingdom sometimes but THEIR shipping charges (it's a looong way to Asia). And then comes German customs and import fees

Can you recommend a good glue? I already tried two types from Revell but neither of them works. The glue just becomes brittle and detaches from the plastic. The only one that really worked for me so far is hot glue.

I've had my best luck with Loctite glue. Given enough pressure and time it's pretty solid.

There are different variants, but I haven't experimented with them all. Truly the biggest difference is the bottle shape, as the shorter bottles are more reliable.
To my knowledge, it does not melt the plastic. If the bond breaks, you see clear/white bits of dried glue on the affected area. No discoloration or deformation is visible, just glue that's still there.

I just found Loctite Power Flex gel. It's for flexing and moving parts. Maybe good for affixing joints.

Hey guys,
I could use some help agian. I wanted to do a kitbash with Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Scourge (gallery).



I love his beast mode but his robot mode has "some" flaws.



It looks a bit messy and kibbly and some design choices I just don't like. So I thought about giving him a new robot mode body. "Making a kitbash". And somehow Studio Series #22 Dropkick came pretty quickly to my mind.



If you don't wanna read everything I'm telling about my ideas and so on below then just skip to the line with all the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXs.

I had none of the figures so far but I already did all the logistics in my mind. I watched videos of Dropkick's transformation. Imagined it with Scourge's beast parts attached at several spots and after a couple of days I had everything figured out. And I had some great ideas:
The locust's abdomen would be attached at the helicopter's tail so that it forms arm shields in robot mode.



The locust's rear legs would be attached behind the helicopter's wings to the parts that are the robot mode's upper arms so that the robot has another pair of arms with blades at their ends and they could help form a second robot mode with four legs.
And the locust head would attach at the tip of the cockpit and therefor be at the robot's chest. And looking at Dropkick's head it looked more and more like an updated movie version of Scourge's.






Everything was practiclly done in my mind and lookd amazing and made me hyped so I ordered both figures. Coincidentally both arrived yesterday. And when I put Scourge next to Dropkick and removed some parts of him to look how they would fit on Dropkick I realized: Dropkick is a tiny mutherfocker.

It's perfect for the beast mode because everything fits great on the helicopter parts but for robot mode...
Scourge's locust head covers everything from Dropkick's crotch to his nose. It's waaay too big for his chest. It would look like he's pregnant with a whole locust larvae swarm. And Dropkick's arms and legs... Scourge's abdomen halves would cover Dropkick's arms completely. And the upper arms are pretty thin for attaching the locust's rear onto them. And Dropkick's legs are a bit small and thin in general for what he will look like having all the locust parts attached to him.

So does anybody of you know another mold that would work for this kitbash and maybe even with my ideas I had for this one? OR does anybody know about an upcoming (not too much) upscaled/oversized SS-22 Dropkick?
I already thought about some helicopter molds like Th30 Whirl, HftD Tomahawk, DotM Skyhammer, DotM Whirl, Th30 Springer, SIEGE Springer, SIEGE Spinister. But TO ME so far none of them would work because of some important requirements:
1. Scourge's wings (position in both modes).
2. Scourge's abdomen's position in robot mode.

It doesn't necessarily need to be a helicopter in alt mode. Just something thin and long preferably. And of course the transformation needs to work for it.
I would really appreciate some help and ideas here

Anyone have good reference pics of Sideways' arm guns from the Revenge of the Fallen game for Xbox 360 and PS3?

Through all my customisation projects and the FRANKENSFORMERS that I made, I noticed something pretty useful for the standard 5mm pegs and holes.

First, to have a 5mm port on your custom, simply drill a hole using a 3/16 drill. It should work in one shot.

As for a 5mm peg, I noticed that many "screw shafts" are 5mm in diameter. All you need to do is to grind the tip a bit in an angle for easier entry. Same thing for other parts if drilling a hole isn't an option.

That's what I used to adapt a random 2012 Hotwheels trailer on the SS Bee Optimus Prime.

Simple and effective. Optimus will be carrying his Micromasters army.


Also, brocoli rubber bands with Sharpie. A simple solution for the Super Gobots Destroyer ever missing threads.

This does not need its own thread so here's what I did for that Super Sentai (?) beetle thing's missing bug legs. I used the shoulder parts of two deluxe 2007 Movie Jazz.

Simple, yet effective. Those shall remain gray.
