Which Transformers have the most articulation, and which ones have the least ammount?

Most articulation:
1.Animated Samuri Prowl-everything moves on him...everything

2. Human Alliance Bumblebee- Hes close with Samuti Prowl, only, his torso doesnt bend and his head doesnt look down or up unless you tuck his head in

3.Animated shockwave- Again, everything moves...except the torso.

4.ROTF Leader Optimus Prime- Almost everything movies, even though everything is stiff, they move.

Least articulate
1.Those Transformers that you got in those ROTF Slurpee's at 7-11 they dont move at all.

2.Anything from G1...well most everything. I love G1, but they just dont move.

3.Most of the Armada toys

4.ROTF Devistator- for somthing that big and that costs that much, Id think that it would have more articulation and stability than that! But hes great to look at!

First off, if you have it open to everything like you have with the 7-11 pieces, then there have been tons of solid pieces made over the years. and if you count those do you count the Revoltech Pieces, because those are super articulate at the expense of their transformations. (Action Masters 2.0???)

And G1 did have articulated pieces, sure they aren't as good as the newer tech allows, but some of them were pretty nifty for the day. Soundwave could be posed a number of decent ways.

Keeping to just transforming transformers:

The animated line has some great articulation but the first thought that came to mind were GF Rambles/Scrapmetal units. they are great for posing.

The worst I feel are the G1 Battlechargers. Sure they transform on their own but you couldn't do jack with them.

G1 dudes like Hun-Grr and Quickswitch are insanely articulated for their day.

One of the most articulated guys on my shelves are Megalo Convoy (torso!) and Armada Unicron.

Most brickiest? Uh... What doesn't transform and has no joints?

Grimlock was pretty inarticulate. Perceptor however was a veritable cornucopia of syntactic dexterity.

On a serious note, I agree. Let's say Battlechargers and Duocons too. And those little Targetmasters. Worst of all though has to be the Baymovie chess-set.

Samurai Prowl has lots of articulation ... until you put his armor on. It's awsome and everything, but not very articulated. The armor gets in the way of his arms and head.

Universe 1 Nemesis Prime aka Big Convoy is a very articulated guy.

One RotF toy I just got - Scalpel - isn't very articulated. He can barely stand!

I feel the thread topic to be a bit degenerate. Obviously as the toy technology has improved through the years, the figures we have now are much more articulate than the figures first released in Generation One. And really.. Good articulation isn't always a good cup of tea. A figure can be flimsy and have a tendency to fall over all the time if they've sacrificed everything for articulation.

Most articulated? Easily Beast Wars Neo Magmatron. The elasmosaurus (Seasaur) has 11 points on its neck and head alone!

I'd pick a Throttlebot or Battlecharger over a Legend any day. Rollbar has more personality than most modern TF's. A great head sculpt and solid vehicle mode.

Articulation isn't everything. Some modern TF's are a pain to transform because of articulation.

G1 Prowl had more realism in his alt mode than Classics Prowl ever will.

Energon Strongarm has amazing articulation and he's a Basic. That axe of his is great for poses as well.

RID Megatron and Optimus Prime were fantastic figures, each having very nice articulation.

While I'm not a fan, I will admit the Alternators were amazingly articulate.

G1 Quake had a nice bit of articulation too.

Even G1 Ratchet and Ironhide have nice arm articulation and even wrists.

Pretender Jazz and Grimlock were abominable yet Bumblebee is the coolest G1 incarnation of the character.

Generationist. :P

See a G1 Shockwave or a Jetfire. You don't need more articulations than those.

Most Articulates: Masterpieces and Alternators, and bigger figures like Unicron, Primus or Optimal Optimus. Also, Revoltech is pretty good too.

Because Classics Prowl wasn't ALLOWED to have a realistic alt mode.

On the other hand, most of the movie car-mode bots have at least as realistic an alt mode as G1 prowl - moreso, because to date I've never seen a 280ZX cop car.

I would say the any self transforming figure are the most inarticulate figures to be made. Some of the most articulate figures are the alternators you could get some really good poses out of them.

If we include the low-tech TFs then Bumper Battlers take the cake on zero articulation.

Mc Unicron was very little to speak of in terms of articulation. I imagine the same can be said of other Mcformers.

Transformers RPMs are even worse. :P

RID Sideburn had a good amount of articulation. Shellforming will do that.

Of course, NOT counting many of the Activators (most appear to be more articulated than some Deluxes)

Classics Mirage is one of the few TF I know of or own that can actually be posed doing Taekwondo sidekicks and Shaolin splits AND actually maintain stability . Surprisingly, so is 2007 Bayverse Voyager Ratchet--one of the few that can actually do a kneeling pose.

As for least articulation, I'd say G1 Battle Chargers. I used to own a G1 Runabout as a kid (or was it Runamok? Well, the gray one, in any case), and he looked like one of those pieces of promo cardboard in a cinema.
