THE most frustrating transformation - which figure?

Most of the alternators and some of the movie figures.

Dude, you read my mind!
Also add Movie Ironhide back to truck mode. Argh! That dang windshield can be rediculous.

Leader Megatron, Alt Grimlock, and MP Megatron are the ones that I can remember being most annoyed with. Realistically most of the MP, Alt, and Movie line are unfun to transform due to their complexity. The relative simplicity of the "Unicron Trilogy" can be a benefit when it comes to actually playing with the figures. It basically comes down to displayabilty vs playability.

Masterpiece Megatron and Starscream by a mile.

One more vote for Movie Ironhide. That effing thing single-handedly killed my love for the movie line.

the frustration of alternators (although credit to the engineers who designed them!!) means that although they can look nice on display they seriously lack the fun factor.
Theres a balance that makes some TF fun and other not, take a classic like G1 prowl, a few twists and turns (none of this lining up the parts business aside from a little bit with his hidden arms) and hey presto! I can see a 5 year old enjoying prowl today but getting grandma to help him/her with movie bumblebee (but then grandma cant do it either). Even a large more complex toy like gen 1 six shot is basically a lot like playing a rubik cube (you see what i mean?). movie jazz is good for its actual transformation, a few twists and turns, the arms add interest (despite being a bit odd), a lot more fun than barrricade. next time you have a party bring out a barricade and a twisty turn gen 1 figure and see which one give sthe average joe more fun, you can bet barricade is returned with a 'can you finish it off' or 'i cant quite get the car parts to line up'.

I have several that are frustrating!
1) RID Ultra Magnus
2) Majority of Alternators (that is going back to car modes!)
3) Masterpiece Megatron and Starscream
4) RID Megatron/Galvatron
5) Movie Megatron

Abo-so-freakin-lutely!!! I'm shuddering at the idea of ever having to transform him back. And since I just got my Skywarp in the mail, it's back to the Japanese directions for round 2.

And this is why I can't possibly imagine a little 5 year old having fun with these latest Transformers (movie line or Alts). They'll have nothing but a mess of broken, mistransformed pieces.

I have a bad temper and actually pulled a Megatron on my Smokescreen. He died a bad death and I actually don't miss him at all.

Does anyone else find it a bit of a pain to get deluxe brawl to stand up, without falling over, in robot mode? He's backheavy with the top of the tank strapped to him. Easy transformation, but too many wiggly parts.

Movie Blackout. It isn't a matter of parts being difficult to move, it is a matter of parts not being designed to move in a useful way and therefore requiring you to bend the plastic rather than bending some sort of joint. I can't see these things lasting very long.
