The new and unimproved "what is your grail?" thread.

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

MP Starscream. I've got a feeling they'll hit grail status a week after release.

True grail? G1 Prime with 100% complete trailer - I'm talking Roller, good decals, gas hook, repair bay, etc. And also, the figure itself has to have its hands!

Also, Reissue Soundwave for a good price, and 20th Anniversary Prime CHROME EDITION.

Motto: ""I'm stronger than I look, but not as strong as I think I am.""
Weapon: Laser Rifle
Currently its G1 Nightbeat w/ all accessories. He's the last of the '80s Transformers I am looking for. And when I have him, neglecting the Action Masters, decoys, and Classic Pretenders I will have the entire G1 toyline. Then I'll be hunting down my own Sunstorm and Magnificus.

2005 Botcon Ratchet.

I love the look of this guy. Sure I could repaint an Energon Tow-Line, but the blue tinted windows do something to put this figure over the top.

I always watch ebay for these and on the rare occasions that one is up, it always sells in the $400-$500 range. I can accept even $200 b/c of his rarity, but man, I've got a wife and kid to feed....

MIB Marlboro Wheeljack

He's my real grail. There's lots of others that I want but he's the very top.

a C-9+ MOC Beast Wars original rattrap, not the more common TM/BM ones. i can't believe how rare this fig is, looking all over eBay no MOC of this fig, only loose.

edit: i saw one being sold MOC for almost $130.00. woah. it IS a grail alright, monty, considering that the original rattrap was a BASIC-sized figure.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

That's easy to reproduce. All you need is Classics Starscream and some paint.

I'll be making one soon.

Personally, Classics Thundercracker Botcon is a bit off my expectations. They made him somewhat G1 purist. Classics is about (G1)+(articulation)+(measure of realism). Just like Classics Starscream - very G1, but not purist G1.

Leader Brawl still eludes me.

Saw one locally. But at a killer $80 price range.

It's not even an Ultimate Brawl.

No. I've seen the pictures.

Try to put Classics Starscream and Classics Thundercracker side by side. And you'll see what i'm talking about. Compare them to their G1 toys.

I do have them side by side with their G1 counterparts. I still fail to see your comparison.

Ok it's like this.

We'll just talk about the airplane mode.

Take G1 and Classics Starscream side by side.
Take G1 and Classics Skywarp side by side.

Notice the paintings were different. The stripe on the wings and tails were not the same. Except for the color and type of aircraft, you'll see that the overall painting designs of the planes of Classics were different from G1. The former being more realistic looking. The latter very toyish, with the stickers design over the air-intake (beside fuselage).

Now, take G1 and Classics Thundercracker side by side.

See how very similar they are. AS for the painting, they are exact copies. Making the more sleek Classics Thundercracker look a bit toyish.

I like the added creativity put into the Classics Starscream and Skywarp.

G1 Shockwave. He's just too expensive. Failing that, I'd like that Titanium Shockwave I saw on the Shortpakced! site a few weeks ago.

After that, it would be this year's Botcon set, or at least just the Seekers.

G1 SixShot, for a year now I've been being out bid by an average $1.

It's getting annoying, and all the Ebay Buy it Now figures are either subpar, overpriced, or both!

G1 Blurr is in the same boat.

If I could find one Classics Starscream, I'd be happy, let alone a second for a repaint. In that case, add Classics SS to my grail list too. I just need to hit Walmarts in BFE to see if any are still out there.

SDCC 2007 Rodimus and Menasor until this morning! Bagged these bad boys for £39.99 as a lot!

G1 Shockwave. I had to make do with Shackwave (AKA Galactic Man) during my school days!

Currently, Galaxy Force Starscream, Alt Nemesis Prime and Alt Rodimus, all of which are hopefully on their way.

Cybertron Galvatron is pretty high on my list too.

I dunno... I guess I already got most of my grails (Reissue Soundwave, oh yeah!). 8)
