The repaints look cool - i was a little surprised by the Bumblebee repaint, but that speckled effect is quite clever - is he based on some evil Bumblebee character i dont know about, or is it just your interpretation? At any rate, i like!

Although this Megatron I saw on TFW2005 takes the cake for most G1-accurate - pretty much exactly what I'm intending to do to mine.

The Bumblebee repaint is my version of another BB repaint Glyph.
I used Dark Blue for the base color and then speckle spreyed silver to simulate stars in a clear night sky.
The light piping in the eyes for BB has to be made yourself. I made a large enough hole where the screw was and Glued the halves back together once I was happy with the result. Now you can see his eyes glow!!
Anyhoo, thanks for the nice comments guys. Much appreciated.

I can understand if your prefer it but it's Cartoon accurate and not toy accurate...there really isn't a "G1 Accurate" if you don't specify one of the two above.
I like what he did with the stomache details but I'm just not digging the Grey. Silver/Boltmetal looks much more natural in gun mode...and his head just looks....off...
I like how the Boltmetal makes the details stand out without having to black wash something.

Explain. Now.
Hey, did any one think of hollowing out the fusion cannon and sticking in a nurf launcher, ergo making him a real nurf gun?

It's like G1 Megatron mixed with Cybertron's Galvatron. It looks much darker and more in touch with megatron's persona then the more toon accurate and rather gray megatron color scheme shown in that other link.
I like your's much better.

I think that blue BB is supposed to be Glyph, a female Autobot. She looks pretty cool, although I would have left the windshield alone rather than painting it.

Full-body shot:

I painted up the fusion cannon/scope to look like the original toy's did, ie. dyed the tip black, and painted the silver stripes molded in it.

The rest of him was done up more like the Cartoon. I dyed all moving parts black, but I painted his forearms red (which is actually both toy and toon accurate), and I also dyed the gun barrel black which is a nod to the full-on rifle mode of Megs.

I painted the little details of the back of the forearms red (the sides on the other arm as seen in the fusion cannon picture)

To bring out detail, and be more accurate to Toon Megs, I painted the detailing on both of his sides red, and you should also note that I detailed his chest to look toon accurate as well:

I detailed his legs to be appropriately colored as well. Both Toon and Toy Megs had silver feet. Toon megs calves were all black, while the toy had red inner halves, so I compromised:

I removed the lightpiping plastic and painted it with clear red paint:

Here's the lightpiping at work:

Might I make a small suggestion? I learned this after painting mine. On the chest you'll see diagnal lines there on both the center peice (Wich you painted red) and on the sides of it wich are even longer. If you paint them in black it simulates the G1 look of the toy's chest sticker with the gun deials that look like lots of cursive E's. (The squigley lines on each side of the Con symbol.)
You'll notice that in Stormbringer Don drew Megs with those details as well.
It really does help to bring the G1 homage out of him a bit more.
Hope that helps. I'll show pics of mine with them painted in later!

You know, Honestly, I thought about doing just that... but I hesitated because I wasn't sure how good it would look!

So, is that an astrotrain in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Sorry, this is a black train event.
White after labore day? never!

I think you should back away from the figure and use the zoom feature on your camera rather than shoving the camera in the figure's face, hehe.
I like the idea of using the Pretender Bumblebee's gun for him though. I can't think of a more appropriate gun for him to use.
