Ok Seibertronians, I originally started this thread as a Mosaicish piece asking if anyone wanted to add the story to my comic. Now its an official contest.


I will need three judges to assist me in decided the victor. First three people to post that they want to judge get the nod. Of course, judges are not eligible to compete in the contest.

We'll be judging the piece on the story itself, relevancy to the frames, cleverness, and grammar. The other three judges will also be allowed to add points of judgment to the competition as long as they are fair.

Once I have my three judges I will post the pic.

Coloring the comic is a bonus that will go heavily in your favor should you choose too, but ultimately, best story wins.

Grand Prize to be awarded: One MISB Commemerative Reissue
G1 Grapple OR one MOSC Movie Arcee deluxe figure. Winner has his/her choice of the two.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

After long judging and debate over which script was best, the winner is finally here. Congratulations to DUKE of LUNS for you winning entry. Thanks to all that entered as this was an incredibly hard decision to come too.

I've redrawn and colored the strip to bring out the true essence of the script. So without further ado, the winning story

What are we writing to? Is there already artwork you've drawn and want us to add a story, or do you want us to write and draw?

You will be adding a story to an already created comic page. The story can be whatever you want it to be. If you are well versed in the TF universe, you will know rather easily what the comic is about. No art is necessary, but if you feel you can add something to it to make it better, by all means, go for it.

It is far from a perfect piece, more towards play animation than serious drawing.

I'll be a judge if you like.

1: It would appear that all posts since the last reset have been deleted., including my judge request.
2:I am still a judge.
3:erm...the forums have been done over, again.
4: We have lost our avatars and sigs.
5:Why am I posting this here?

Man **** happens. I noticed the site was down last night. I guess something crashed and they had to reload using backups so that would explain that posts are dated 10th of december.

Yeah, i mean show some support and respect and nobility to the site. Its like they try their best to make things even better, taking time out of their personal lives during the xmas period and as soon as something doesnt quite work properly for a few days people whine and threaten to leave after using the site for ages before hand. Its sickening. Im not going anywhere, i support this site and like it more than any other.

I agree with you, they must be working hard to make the forum better and all they get is people moaning about it. I think they deserve some appreciation for all this.

What was the due date again, wasn't it December 30th? And do we have to letter the comic ourselves, or can we send in a script and you'll letter it?

I think you letter it yourself.

Can we get an extension on the contest? The last seibertron update wiped the pic away, which would deter potential other contestants, and the place we're to E-Mail it to.

Also, if we are to letter it ourselves, then it wouldn't look that great, cause I have the pic saved to my computer, but it was pretty small, and upsizing it would make it look very pixalated. A bigger picture would be helpful.

Also, Christmas is a bit more time consuming than I thought it would be(yay for Wii ), and thus I have't gotten around to attempting it yet.

I think I have a workable script, and my crude editing (I don't know if I could manage lettering it myself if that's required, I'm mostly a writer ) suggests that it should be able to fit even in the comic's current tiny dimensions. Any particular place you want it sent to, and in what format?

(I'll be very interested to see how different people interpret the same pic.)

All submissions can be sent to sserrano03@yahoo.com. You can either plug the words yourself into the strip or give me the script of it. Make sure you state which character and panel the words go to. Thanks for you interest.

Two minor questions though. 1. Do we have to come up with a title, or did you do that already?(Is "Don't "Dion" Me Man!" to corny ), and 2. Is that Orion Pax smoking in panel four? I'm pretty sure it is, but the pic is kinda small, so it's hard to make out the exact details.

You're more than welcome to come up with a title. Love that one too, lol.

And yes OP is smoking. But not a rolled up fatty. Its from Megs blasting him after he did that ballerina jump thing. But u already know that.

Heres a half colored version of it. Not final though. My temp Photoshop ran out so I gotta figure a new way to do it.

OK, sent off my script. You may have to check your Spam/Junk folder... my webhost's e-mail has an annoying tendency to end up in those for some reason. (At least, it always happens for GMail addresses. ) Dunno if my script will win, but hopefully it at least doesn't suck. I don't usually write serious stuff.

As for coloring issues... you could try one of the free Photoshop clones/replacements like GIMP. (I can't color worth crap; I can only do lineart, so I can't really offer any personal recommendations.)

I have also sent in my script. It would be neat if it wins, but if it doesn't, it was fun to write . Also, this is how comics in general used to be written I believe, or pretty close to it, with the writer giving a brief overview of what he would like on a page, and then putting dialog in once he saw the finished page.
