So I was wrong about Wheeljack.

The episode was great I found it funny how Megatron seems to care so much for Laserbeak although he's just a drone. Also loved the Knock out moment,

"I'm sure Knock Out and Me will will not fail" (or something along those lines.)
"Can you believe what the Autobots have done to me?!"

I so hope Bulkhead isn't dead, but it does look like it.

On the topic of Hardshell being Bombshell, well he is, remember that exclusive reissue of the Insecticons from a while back? Bombshell was renamed as Hardshell and Shrapnel as Sharpshot.
So he's this Continuities version of Bombshell, or homage at least.

Notice how every time Soundwave makes an appearance that more than just background stuff, he always comes out on top?
Awesome.

I don't think Wave came out on top. It's hard to say who did. The only failure here is Knock Out and Dreadwing lol

I think it's safe to say that Soundwave is the most competent Decepticon besides Megatron himself; which really isn't surprising since the two have been said to be about equal in power. However, once Megs finds out about the virus I wouldn't be surprised if Knock Out uses that to his advantage somehow. Like I said earlier, I'm really looking forward to seeing just how far KO's gonna go with his little vendetta.

The problem is that Soundwave is TOO good at his job. No one else would be able to fill in the role of Communications Officer to the extent that he performs at. He's also not the most inspiring of mechs. SIC is supposed to be kind of like a field general in my opinion, so I can only imagine trying to direct troops through screen images or maybe interpretive dance

Airachnid merely rediscovered the Earth hive and had some sort of connection to them or something

Airachnid didn't create the Insecticons; rather, she stumbled upon a horde of them on Earth and controlled them via some sort of telepathic frequency or... Something. It did mention that they were similar and it was how she was able to control them in the first place, but in general the Insecticons have been shown to be nothing more than drones (sans Hardshell). I'm not sure if it's quite been made clear where the Insecticons came from in this continuity, but we know that they were always Decepticons and they were on Cybertron. In fact, the discovery that they were even on Earth was generally a surprise for both sides.

Also, anyone feel free to correct something I said since I'm no expert.

I think megatron knew they were there. his suprise was more that they were attacking him than their presence.

Well...yes and no. Both are confirmed to exist in this continuity (Well, existed, the Requiem Blaster, at least, is long gone) but neither have been shown on Prime.

The novels feature them (or at least, feature the characters speaking of them in some cases). Though, not the shield. Just the other two.

I loved Triage, if only because Soundwave got some spotlight time. It's slo very fitting that the relic he retrieved was a sonic weapon (Resonance Blaster).

(Now, some might say he lost in the end because of the virus, but I have a feeling that's going to come back to bite the Autobots hard.)

But something that I didn't notice until it was pointed out; Soundwave doesn't seem to react to pain. Wheeljack smacked him around a fair bit and he didn't seem adversely affected by it. The most reaction we got was him staggering backwards from a headbutt to the visor, but that's it.

Is it the lack of face-and-voice that makes it impossible to convey or does he just not feel pain at all?

Keep in mind Soundwave was a gladiator on par with Megatronus himself. In that aspect he's probably used to absorbing hits and brushing them off. You don't have a lot of time to recover in a life or death situation; whether that be in battle or in the arena.

Plus it makes him look totally B.A.

Thumbing around my "guide" on my tv, I went to the saturday after this coming one (6-2-12) and the episode airing is "orion pax part 1". So it looks like the new episode streak ends at 15. sadface

That too. But I like to think that he is so awesome that he doesn't need to feel pain. Because cool guys wear shades and don't look back at the explosions. They also don't show any reaction to having a bomb strapped to their chest. Because he's that cool.
