the classics in ireland have been a bitch to get-i poped and extra fiver to get megs and just got a jetfire (wont be in hsops here for months yet) and guess wht-i took jetfire outta the box and one set of helmet guns snapped!

classics soundwave....... it's starting to p*ss me off

G1 Pretender Finback... he's so rare I'm almost convinced he doesn't actually exist.

Fortunately I don't go in for the grail hunts. I tend to let things come to me. I have pretty good luck with that method too.

Take Alt Tracks for instance. I spent weeks searching for him. Then my Ex I guess in a fit of boredom suggested we go to the store and try again. So we did and I had already pre-decided he wasn't going to be there. Got there looked at the pile and it was the same as it had been for weeks. I shrugged said told you so and turned to leave and noticed both Tracks and Miester about 4 feet away from the main pile all by themselves.

Since then I have decided hunting is a fruitless endevour and to much of a strain on time and gas. I simply wait patiently for things to come into my crosshairs of their own accord. So far I haven't missed anything I wanted yet. Heck I even found a complete G1 Jetfire exactly when I wanted to. And when I got tired of waiting for the reissue Soundwave I found a complete original of that as well. And not they have MP Megs and the reissue Megs both coming right when I want them as well.

Maybe it's partly due to my reluctance to order online, maybe not... I've checked around online sotres. Hasbrotoyshop hasn't got him listed and he's sold out other places too... Either way, I've been lookin' since December, no luck.

I'd imagine I'd have a more interesting grail if I collected older figures, but I tend not to go back. I'm too busy trying to keep up with current releases!

Same here, could not find Jetfire anywhere. Finally bid the bullet and got one from Ebay.

How much did it wind up setting you back? I'm... hesitant to pay extra on top of the shipping fees, but since I really don't have a choice...

There's a story here, but it's kind of silly. Let's just say there's an emotional connection here, and it has NOTHING to do with the character.

After the shipping charge, probably paid $5 more or less.

I could never find Energon Wing Saber. It was a pain, I really wanted him...

I myself am looking for Cybertron Soundwave, as well as Reverse Convoy & Art Asylum TOS 1701, 1701-E, ISS-NX 01, damaged NX-01,
and the Playmates 1701, Romulan Bird of Prey, Klingon Bird of Prey and the newer TIE fighter toys.

If you don't care about the box, Primacron, I could hook you up with a Soundwave, just point me in the direction of what you've got.

The last collecting grail was finally put to an end this Christmas, with a gift to myself - the exclusive UK "Transmetal" Spittor repaint, MISB with video. Ages ago, one of those blasted UKers (pretty sure it was Shin) sent me the "Transmetal" Claw Jaw as a gift for helping with an eBay auction, though I accidentally bid against him near the end. Was looking casually for his partner ever since.

Not as fussed about them as I was UKTM Spittor, but I am still looking for the TRU repaints of Airazor and Razorclaw to wrap up all those obscure BW basic repaints. I've also been a bit anxious to get a BW10th Megatron, which I should have grabbed when I first saw it but didn't. Oh, and there's a whole fiasco related to Classics Jetfire, which I hate myself for not resolving sooner, but I don't think I really care enough to chase him down at all now.

...unfortunately, I got nothing trade-worthy. My collection's positively pathetic. ._. It's all newer stuff; the only G1 TFs I have are a micromaster and a beat up Cosmos... >>;

Is Sky Shadow worth it? I see it at my local Target and Toys R Us and it seems like no one is buying them.

G1 Whirl. I really want a 100% complete, C8 or better, boxed and with manual. All under $50. I am still looking.

I always go for the show accurate colored versions first. They usually sell faster than the other colored variants.

It's the KO's I want.

Oversized RM Air Hunter. Have oversize Wingstun, Wrecker Hook and Jetfire and they rock. Not even sure if Air Hunter exists in an oversized form but if he does he'd make a great Machine Wars Megatron.

Last year saw an oversized MW Thundercracker but money was tight so I let him go. Same with the Machine Robo 44 Magnum that inspired Actionmaster Treadshot.

Pretty sure Toyhell has a KO Dai Atlas.

Question for Grimsqueaker - Did you get Jetfire online or has he landed in Ireland yet?

It's a cool toy, unless you already have the Jetfire Version. (The Bio even says that Skyshadow is really Jetfire in disguise.)

Trypticon, I want him so badly I bought the LoC classics version hoping it would help fill the hole. It didn't, maybe if he had been a repaint of the full sized Scourge but it just wasn't the same.

For me it is Lio Convoy. When I have money I can not find one. When I do not have oney they are everywhere

for me, it would have to be G1 Metroplex.

I can find good ones when i have the money, but i'm 17 right now, and don't have my own credit card, so I always get my TFs from eBay through my older sister, which can be a pain in the butt, and usually, she's pretty slow when it comes to bidding XD

although, se did get me a sweet G1 Soundwave and Windcharger ^ . ^

g1 Black Zarak. I saw it on ebay a few weeks ago and the $150 I bid was obliterated. That thing is nice. I did just get a ghost Hot Rod for fiddy bones though, now I just gotta keep my eyes open for the black.

Any version of Soundwave that actually turns into a tape deck. All I can find is that one for TF: Cybertron. Really annoying.

I have still never seen Classics Jetfire in a store. Got mine on eBay.

As for elusive figures, Fort MAx and Omega Supreme. Not willing to pay the enormous prices for a Max and Omega always seems to elude me. Oh yeah, and a working Sky Linx.
