Thanks to a new parts lot, my Waverider is now 100% complete! So now i own 4 complete Pretenders (Gunrunner, Waverider, Jazz, and Skullgrin) and 2 nearly complete (Roadgrabber missing his hand gun, Icepick missing little gun and Monstructor foot)

Congrats on yet another complete Pretender!
However, your Waverider could definitely use to be refreshed:

Not too expensive and the set could hitch a ride among other labels sets to soak up the shipping costs.

I did it for my Pretender Cloudburst and it was really worth it.

I'll have to buy some Repros too for some of my figures. Like for instance my G1 Scourge and maybe some other figures.

Last time I got labels was after TFcon for Flywheels, Jazz, and Doublecross. I might need to go for Waverider, Battletrap, and maybe refresh First Aid and Tentakil

The funniest thing is I'm thinking about buying new repros when I just applied the sets for Titan Return Windblade and Combiner Wars Victorion... Sets that I bought over 2 years ago! And the Combiner Wars Defensor sets (that were bought OVER FIVE YEARS AGO) still need to be applied.

Having just looked, I am aggravated that the G1 combiners are only available as full sets, no individuals. Lame.

I might also consider a new set for my vehicle pretender as well, get them looking spiffy. And get Roadgrabber his gun

All my Pretenders could use fresh stickers.

I still can't believe that I got most of my pretenders (notably Vroom, Crossblades, Octopunch, Bludgeon, Thunderwing) all 100% complete and all priced at the idontgivafokanymore price of 80$CAN each... by trading in random Generations and Movie figures.

Take solace in the fact that Europeans have relatively good deals with G1 Pretenders. They were massively released over there. Hell, even an American can have a better deal by buying from Europe and paying extra shipping than buying from within the USA.

I pre-ordered God Neptune from Hasbro Pulse! It then resulted in some Super-God Masterforce inspired pics with “Turtler”.

Turtler was one of the toys I wanted as a kid and never got, the aftermarket prices on the Seacons was ridiculous.

There was the reissue of the Seacons set that was 20$ at BBTS. I got two at the time. I traded one but I sold the other one eventually. Didn't like the feel at all. Felt more of a KO than anything else. Maybe the original was better.

Oh, and I wonder. My local seller have a Skyhammer for sale. 80$CAN plus taxes. Vehicle shell, the pretender body have a broken gold feet, the inner bot seem fine, both gold guns are there, but the blue shield/gun is missing. I think the two blue guns for the vehicle shell are there.

So, Pretender Skyhammer for 92$CAN (67$US or 101$AU) total taxes included, broken foot and missing gun/shield only.

Good deal?

Roadblock would have his rival, but Skyhammer is virtually unplayable because all of his gold plastics everywhere....

I would probably pass on that Skyhammer, Kanra.

And yes, Turtler/Snaptrap/Halfshell is certainly not a Pretender, but he works with them in Super-God Masterforce! I included those other pics for context.

When God Neptune arrives, there’s definitely going to be a new crew with them and our seafaring Decepticon Pretenders I will want to cook up.....

I would go for that, that seems like a pretty go deal.

I think now that my Powermasters and Duocons are complete, I have my next small G1 subgroup to go after: Monstructor. I have Icepick with everything except his gun and Monstructor foot (but I did secure the foot here somehow!), and I think I will take one of those slow journeys to grab each member as a deal comes along

I'm still hoping for the update! But I feel it would not be completely faithful anyway since they are so against pretenders in the mainline.

Updates will probably be slow, but I have hopes I can complete the set! I'm also thinking i'll start at the bottom and go up, pick up the other leg, then the lower torso, etc. as a nice cohesive build, obviously chance deals pending
