Well, I watched the Randy Savage dvd last night. The first disc was really boring. I was kind of let down by it. The second disc was nothing but Flair and Hogan matches. I skipped it for now.
The third disc however, that was pretty awesome. Bret Hart and Savage vs Flair and Shawn Michaels in a tag match. Just reading the names involved its like "how the hell can this be bad?!" and it was AWESOME! There was also a really great match between DDP and Savage on there from Great American Bash 1997. That one was just...unbelievable. Made me miss Savage and Page a whole lot.

I was wondering about that set. I've never been a big Macho Man fan, but he used to be good.
I just finished reading Mick Foley's second book, Foley Is Good, and last night I watched his "retirement match" on the Hell in the Cell DVD set. It wasn't as good as I remembered. His match at the 2000 Rumble was better. Now I'm watching the assbeating Foley took at the hands of the Rock at the 99 Rumble.

Donald Trump...REALLY?! I don't think there are enough words in the english language to describe how much of a lame idea that is.

It's more credible than Ric Flair buying the wwe again.

LOL, I remember that. Though it led to a really good Rumble match, the whole thing was really preposterous. Trump...well, I think he should have gotten shaved at WM23. That way he'd have an excuse to get rid of that godawful roadkill on his head. But he would look horrendous without hair.

Slammiversary was the best Pay Per View of the year so far. Such a great show. From opening bell right to Angle and Joe standing triumphantly at the top of the ladder. Great swerve, and sets up for Joe vs Styles, which is ALWAYS good.
Monster's Ball was excellent, then again anytime I get to see Daffney, its excellent. Raven and Abyss can end up having a bloodfilled feud which isn't a bad thing, its a good thing...
Which reminds me, SOMEONE BRING BACK DDP GOD DAMN IT!
Anyways...Raw was once again a joke. With the economy in the shitter did we really need to listen to Trump and Vince talk about how much money they have? I mean really! The only good match was the Smackdown six man tag match. That wasn't even great, it was just mediocre.
Triple H vs Orton?
Big Show vs Cena?

Monday's Raw...0verall one of worse I've ever seen.
Could have kept the Trump/Vince animousity(sp) going two weeks more.
The parts with Vince & chauffer and Vince finding his "new office" were the only parts I wasn't bored. For those 2 funny instances I also wanted the the subplot extended. But the storyline played out in the way it did--crappy predictable yawnfest. Too early--made me think WWE's creative team couldn't think of other ideas.
And we have Triple H. After the first DX stint he's bored me. First it's what he does in his entrance I'm not fond of
(I love and focus on his entrance song). Then it's that more than occasional appearance of the hammer. His McMahon alliance close comes close third.
And I wish they put Miz and Morrison back together. Cena vs Miz is annoying as the Mysterio v. Kane fued (sp). The Cena vs Big Show is growing to boring levels, 4 me "borefest" is preamble to irrating .
BTW, Anyone know what became of JBL (referring to the background story for his "quitting")? He would be a passible successor for Trump.

JBL is the host of Vyper Fight League, an MMA promotion. Layfield Energy sponsors it.
I'm against Miz and Morrison being back together. Give Miz time to shine on his own Awesomeness!
Morrison is kicking ass on Smackdown and Miz is being the one entertaining part of Raw. Don't take that away from me

It could have been a good storyline, but they ended it too early.

I don't think its possible to have a good storyline if it involves Trump.
Smackdown was pretty good last night, excluding that shitfest of Michelle McSuck and Alicia Fox vs Melina and Gail Kim. It would be so much better to have Melina feud with Gail. At least they are both good wrestlers, but Michelle is just terrible.
Morrison vs Punk was awesome as hell. I was really happy Morrison won though. I love Punk, but giving Morrison a huge win on the world champ is great for his push.
That "Rage" in the Cage was a pretty good match. Mysterio was actually entertaining as well. I just wish they'd stop saying he'd be losing his match for the first time ever...THE OUTSIDERS TOOK IT IN 99!!
He was without a mask for 2 years. I hate how wrestling companies try to rewrite history.

I never thought i'd find myself rooting for the miz...but I so badly want to see him get a clean victory over Cena.
And on a side note: I still can't get used to the FU being called the attitude adjustment. We're gonna call it this for years but next week its gonna be THIS. Nobody will notice, promise.
I know they've done it in the past, but i probably bitched about it then also.

I'm sick of John Cena, period. I wish he would go away. I caught the beginning of Raw, McMahon being himself as usual. Batista, that was alright, though he was very unconvincing when he had the mic. Then I watched the HHH-MVP match, which was alright. i hoped it would be better, given the 2 participants, but I guess HHH's legs are screwed up so he couldn't go with MVP. I honestly was rooting for MVP as well. That's all i saw, and that's all i cared to see.
Right now I'm watchinbg the DVD of the '92 Rumble, making me long for the days of Bret Hart and Roddy Piper.
Also, does anyone know if WWE plans a release of the Survivor Series on a DVD set?

TNA Victory Road 2009 was boring.
I mean it was OK at the start but about half way through it lost a lot of energy. The Main Event Mafia won all their matches again this wouldn't have as bad had Angle not told them "if you lose, you're fired" which pretty much spoiled the matches for me. The Sharmel/Jenna match was just downright horrible other than Awesome Kong knocking out Sharmel to allow Jenna to win and then knocking out Jenna post match was the only redeemable factor, the rest was just OK to just slightly above average. The Sting/Samoa Joe match had a nice twist when Taz debuted but otherwise it was just OK.

Taz is in the Mafia, He's Samoa Joe's adviser.
As much as I hate to say it, Victory Road was a weak pay per view. Daniels vs Morgan was pretty good. Would have preferred seeing Daniels win, but oh well. Joe vs Sting wasn't to bad either.
What irritates me was that they could have put Sharmell/Jenna on an episode of iMPACT! and replaced its spot on the PPV with Suicide vs Homicide for the X-Division title, or the Guns vs two random x division guys. At least those guys can go out there and tear it up...Sharmell and Jenna aren't even eye candy, so the point of their match was what?
I still love the Beautiful People though. I think I like them more each and everytime they're on the screen. They play their characters so well and always crack me up. They aren't bad in the ring either.
Raw this week was once again, BORING. The only entertaining segments were Santino with ZZ Top. They had me laughing everytime. Especially, the "legs" segment.
ECW was pretty good though. Yoshi Tatsu vs Regal was a winner. It could have gone either way.I quite like Yoshi

Abraham Washington SUCKS! I love Christian and almost never change the channel when he's involved in a segment, but jesus christ, I hate Abraham. His jokes are terrible and he gets no reaction from the crowd. The best part of the segment was when Dreamer said Christian "slapped him in the face" and Christian physically slaps him in the face and then says "No, that was a slap on the face". That had me rolling!
I wonder if WWE realizes their supposed C show has more entertainment value then their "flagship"

Well Taz said he can't wrestle anymore and Tenay and West (who sense turning heel as been amazing on commenty) are best when they are left alone. I honestly can't say that I was surpised by Taz's role even though I don't think Joe needs a manger/handler/mouthpiece/helper (or whatever you want to call it) anymore than Kurt Angle does. Now Nash needs help because he sucks and Scott Steiner needs all the help he can get.

Q F f'n T.
Why the hell is Steiner even around anymore? He can't wrestle really, except throw weak suplexes and punches, and he can't talk his way out of a Crown Royal bag. Plus all those roids gotta be getting to his heart. Does TNA wanna be known for letting him drop dead on TV?
Nash? Well, I always liked his Diesel character, as well as the Outsiders, but it's true he can't contribute to his character very well on the mic. I wish they would have kicked him out of the Mafia and made him a face along with Sting. Then bring back that broke-ass Lex Luger and X-Pac and Scott Hall and fire up the Wolfpac again.

X-Pac wasn't in the Wolfpac. Plus, he's down in Mexico in AAA doing D-Generation Mex. Which from what I've seen on youtube, they kick ass. Alex Kozlov is freakin great.
West has gotten worse since going heel. He has zero entertainment value. Tenay was good in WCW when he had Heenan, Tony, and Dusty, but West just SUCKS. 99% of the time it sounds like he's trying to be Bobby Heenan, which doesn't work at all. Bobby Heenan is the greatest commentator of all time and DW will never come close. As far as I'm concerned, the only entertaining announcer in the game currently is Matt Striker. JR constantly makes mistakes. King has always sucked. Cole is...well Cole. Don't need to say anything else. Todd Grisham was good when he was with Striker, but pairing him with JR was a bad move. Josh Mathews hasn't come into his own yet, but he's nowhere near as bad as Cole or JR.
Seriously, Scott Steiner can't wrestle? I don't think you people open your eyes! He consistently has good matches. Far better then most the crap on Monday Nights. Beer Money vs Booker and Scott at Victory Road was a gem.
I'm not fond of Joe having a mouthpiece either, since he's one of the best in the world on the mic. I was hoping TNA would swerve everyone by having Flair(yeah I know, yeah right!) be Joe's mystery adviser.
I just really, really, really, want Sting vs Flair ONE MORE TIME
My bets for Jericho's mystery partner:
Christian- Jericho and Christian are real life friends and teamed together in the past. If Jericho goes back to being funny with Christian as his partner, we might have the greatest thing ever. If you don't agree, then you're a dork.
Matt Hardy- Jericho belittled Edge constantly while saying he'll be having a new partner. Said that his partner will be nothing like Edge. Matt Hardy has been off camera, and was doing great in his heel persona. I think him and Jericho would be great.
The Miz- Not sure why I feel like he's a possibility, but still, I think he is.
Unless they sign someone new or Jericho goes solo, I think those would be the best 3 candidates. Although I hope its not Miz because I'd prefer them to keep pushing him as a singles wrestler.

I know. I just watched WrestleMania 9 recently, and the Steiners had a hell of a match against the Headshrinkers. I also watched some of the Royal Rumbles from the early 90s and they were good. I don't know, maybe Scotty is better as a tag team wrestler. But really, the roids probably diminished his skills anyway. All show no game.
