This last season may have had some rather lackluster arcs (sorry R2, but you're little droid squad got boring) but arcs like Ahsoka's and the Obi-Wan/Mandalore arc really made up for them.

These are the people that need to be writing the movies.

The season has been hit-and-miss. It was either really boring (Please get off Onderon already!) or mind-blowingly amazing. (Sidious vs. Maul and Savage) On the other hand, they did have that shout-out to Republic Commando, that made the whole Droid Squad thing worth it.

(Or wipe the floor with three, then pull his punches against the fourth so he can have Anakin finish the job) I think part of it comes from, being a CG model, he's not constrained by having an old man as an actor.

Yet Star Wars is not as good as Logan's Run.

To throw in another non-sequitir (?) statement, the last scene(s) of Logan's Run was shot in the Water Gardens in Fort Worth, TX. Spent a lot of time there.

Movie wise I guess he didn't have to let loose as he was all about manipulating others.

Maul and Savage however, that was just pure dark side fuelled revenge.

CG aside, they could easily have someone more younger and agile stand in for him if they'd wanted to.

Mark Hamill will be channeling Obi Wan in Episode VII (I hope they trim the beard a bit. He looks like a hobo.):



Apparently, he's also contractually obligated to keep the beard until shooting of Episode VII is finished.

Also, here are some rumors regarding the story:

First up, Latino Review has several plot details, building on what has been previously been alleged regarding Luke's missing hand serving as the story's MacGuffin. The search for Luke Skywalker, then, teams Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters with Han Solo and Chewbacca (who have passed the Millennium Falcon along to Oscar Isaacs' character).

The new rumors reveal that Luke is a captive of the Inquisitors, the villains of the upcoming "Star Wars Rebels" television series. Sort of a Sith task force, the Inquistors used to deal directly with Darth Vader and seem to have captured Luke shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi. What's a neat surprise, if true, is that flashbacks will actually show off a time period prior to the events of the original Star Wars and we'll get to see Darth Vader on the big screen again! What's more, Billie Lourd is rumored to be playing a young Princess Leia in some of those flashback scenes.

Next up, Badass Digest has a few more descriptive details, claiming that there's a central Inquisitor villain who is a half-metal cyborg and the owner of the hand we just saw officially revealed by J.J. Abrams. They also allege that we'll see a planet of both ice and forest where Imperial Snowtroopers are building a superweapon!

Finally, Indie Revolver has published alleged concept art of Han Solo in both a Hoth-like uniform and also in a look a bit more reminiscent of the long coat he wore on Endor. Badass Digest then chimes in again, claiming that Solo and Chewbacca are now in charge of a Super Star Destroyer.

It seems we have an official subtitle for Star Wars Episode VII. It is "The Force Awakens."
Personally, I think it's rather confusing and lackluster.

Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have announced today, following the completion of principal photography, that Star Wars: Episode VII is now officially titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Damn, guys. WTF? Calm down.

Now, I believe that just by the simple fact that we have Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher back, it will be better than what the prequel trilogy was. I'll admit, I didn't hate episodes 2 and 3, only Phantom Menace. I just hope the filmmakers didn't take the fans and moviegoers for granted, just because it's a Star Wars film, and actually put a great amount of effort into it.

i think the title is quite suitable, and fits with the original movies.

-a new hope
-the emprire strikes back
-return of the jedi
-the force awakens

the most out of place IMO is the phantom menace, which is a great title, but doesnt fit the theme. attack of the clones fits the original theme, but feels more simple/dumbed down than is necessary. with revenge of the sith, it looked like they got back on track.

Is anyone else worried that even with the old guys showing up that they'll end up playing second fiddle to some new guy that is the new MASTER FORCE MASTER!! I really would like this first movie to focus on the old guard, and maybe set the sequel to focus on the new peeps.
