I dunno if the character is known enough for a general release, but it could be a very nice convention exclusive.

Selects isn't exactly a general release either

The deco wasn't just red:

As packaged, this wasn't a separate character from G1 Piranacon; it was basically a retroactive G2 version.

I suppose for Selects they could brand it as the original intent for those redecoes (a subgroup of the Energon Terrorcons called the Piranhacons, who form Piranhaking) if they thought that would get more attention.

Those colors are pretty boss.

Still, the Seacons Select ARE "general releases." If many online stores can sell the thing, it pretty much "general".

Only if ONE store are allowed to officially sell the thing that it becomes a true exclusive.

So optimal optimus got a repaint in optimus colors... How about an optimus prime in optimal optimus colors?
It would look more g2 than g2 prime did for sure.

Then...
Why stop there, throw in a megatron as his unreleased gun mode g2 colors. They would compliment each other beyond nicely, almost like it was meant to be.

That's an idea!

They could even release a Select 2 packs of ER Optimus in Optimus Primal colors (no trailer) and ER Megatron in BW Megatron colors.
Of course, it would be a something-or-other exclusive that will be scalped to no end.

Had a galaxy brained idea this weekend, and now I want to see it come to fruition.

No transformer has ever assumed a HellHound as an alternate mode, closest they've come was Jawbreaker as a TMII Hyena and RiD Bruticus as a cerberus. But a proper HellHound, complete with the mohawk running down its back, no.

then I got to thinking: TLK Mohawk in a Beast Wars styled body could totally turn into a HellHound: it fits his personality, it's appropriately demonic like the movie cons tend to be, and lest we forget the mohawk, which would run down his robot mode head, back and some on his shoulders since that's where the beast mode head and rump would go.

And I really want to see that in some form now.

A line of Transforming mythological creatures, taken to a greater extreme than the Fuzors, would be really cool. Things like Tiamat or the Old Ones could look great!

Nah, with the way Mohawk Transforms he'd need an entirely new mold. The only real transformation I can think of that sort of replicates his would be Lio Convoys.

As someone who watches a lot of Mountain Monsters, more of those monsters being used as alternate modes would be sweet, or even in some cases the basis for the robot mode

Prime Beast Hunters gave us a Griffin and Dragons. It was a start, but didn't last long.

If My littel pony got a D&D crossover it's only a matter of time -though I'd probably like some of the cartoon based ones.

Maybe with Springer as ranger, Blurr as cavalier, Prime Predaking as tiamat? Cliffjumper or Huffer as barbarian and include Uni as a cassette (only fair we get a unicorn cassette at some point). Thinking a female Mirage as the thief and probably just Arcee as the acrobat. Optimus as Venger wouldnt really work

(Prime predaking might or BM Megatron) but they should all have some sweet capes with them anyhoos.

Yeah, but we had Dragons before. In TM2 Megatron and BW2 Galvatron. Technically griffins too, in the Fuzors.

It is one of the things I like most about the Lovecraftian Mythos. Take the last of my three images: Shoggoth. With no context whatsoever, as a Transforming figure, people would be tilting their heads asking 'what is it!?'

A bad version of Cyclonus.

In G1, he was very well articulated, with knees, hips, shoulders, elbows and a wrist swivel. All in a great looking toy.
In CHUG, he was again a great looking toy with all the upgrades to articulation, some of the best light piping of all time, and his accessory is possibly the best Targetmaster ever made.
In Combiner Wars, sure it was a bit of a strange remold, but they used the very best of the Combiner leaders as it base to make a unique and unexpected figure.
Now in Kingdom, he's back again, and on par with the studio series figures.

Cyclonus always comes out well for some reason.

Yes, this is a 3P figure that actually exists. Therefore being potentially counterintuitive to the thread. However, THIS is exactly what I've wanted HasTak to do, for years.

Shockwave transforms into... The Revenge!

Utilising the neglected Spaceship designs and, at the same time, making established characters transform into something different for a change. I've never understood why the latter is such a big deal?

It's still the DJD for me. Would love to see some transforming figures of them on the shelves with them turning into their proper alt modes. Never gonna happen.
