I'm rather disappointed they ditched everything that made the original Ironhide/Ratchet toys unique and redesigned them as bog-standard, gimmick-free humanoid bots. Same with "standardising" all the other Autobots, but toy IH and Ratch had a lot of potential.

Do you mean the Galaxy Force toys or the renditions of these characters in Cybertronian alt modes like in FOC? Because if it's the first one, I am curious to know what makes Cybertron Optimus/Galaxy Convoy so ugly.

With regards to Megatron he could be referring to the colour scheme, I mean the mold looks fantastic in the Galvatron colours

It's mainly the colours on both.

I've always hated transformers with face plates and Primes yellow eyes just bug me. I think they remind of G1 Primes creepy yellow eyes that make him look evil and unheroic.

On reflection it's not just the colours. I just don't like the look of either bot.

Titanium series Megatron.

Wobbly loose joints. No poseability. Falls apart if I sneeze near it. Falls over if I look at it funny. Ugly toy on all fronts.

You do know primes face plate can shift down thanks to the lever on the back of his head right? The face plate is only there for battle mode. Personally I love Cybertron Prime and think he's fantastic, a real joy to play with.

Well, the toy wasn't originally meant to be viewed as a living robotic organism. It was designed to be a human-operated mech machine for the Diaclone line.

All Diaclone toys came with these little fellers, and pretty much all of them had a place for them to go. According to Diaclone all the "G1" cast were non-sentient Mechs, if you will.

This, at the time was also very much in line with Microman. In fact, that's who these little fellas are. And they drove all sorts of bots.

G1 Omega Supreme? Not even the ugliest G1. Not even ugly at all in my opinion, but certainly not uglier than stuff like the monster pretenders (and I mean the interior bots, and no not in a "they sposed ta be ugly way).

Also, anyone who said Omega clearly has never seen a single bayformer, as every last one of them is much uglier than Mr. Supreme.

I don't think anyone is going to get taken to school, since I already know and understand the history behind the actual toy. Taken as a toy, not taking into account what it is supposed to actually be, the thing is dog ugly. Granted that is only my opinion, but that opinion isn't going to change. I guess I am just going to have to ditch class today.

G1 Groove. That toy barely passes as anything other than a Motorbike with a face drawn on. His destiny is and always will be - a leg. Its just not worth displaying in robot mode.

Glide (or Universe Groove) might have it even worse than Groove, and he's not even a leg (he's back kibble).
