Hi all,

I just started wanting to get back into TF collecting after I saw the MP Soundwave release and was able to snag one.

I'm really sad that I missed the awesome MP-10 TRU exclusive Optimus Prime. I'd really like to get my hands on a complete one (not necessarily new/mint). What is the going price for one? Are the eBay prices of $200+ pretty spot on or are they pretty inflated and I'd have better luck here?

You'll have no choice but to buy from a Ebay scalper at 250$+. Either that, or the Japanese one at 300$+.
Or you can play the waiting game and hope for a reissue.

Thanks, Kanrabat. That's unfortunate, but I guess I'll have to see if I can try to find one locally or on the boards before giving up and buying on eBay.

Does TRU typically do reissues? I think I've seen Takara do them frequently but haven't seen info on reissues for TRU.

TrU is just a store and dont call the shots. Hasbro is the one who decide if they will make more. Takara are usually more likely to produce reissues, but you'll have to pay the Takara price plus high shipping rates.

Still, Takara is already reissuing Soundwave and I heard that a MP-10 reissue is planned. However, it appear there will be NO trailer this time around. Win some, lose some.

Because I live in Québec, TrU refuse to bring any MPs over here because of some stupid language laws and puting a sticker with a little french on the english only box is too much work. So, I had to had a Seibertronian middleman me the Hasbro MP-10. Even with zero profits on his end, the 115$ toy still ended up at 175$ with all fees added for me. As for Soundwave, I think I will never be able to have the Hasbro version so I'll have to rely on the Takara one. Sigh...

Anyway, anyone have that G1 Doubledealer part at a non-rape price?

Sorry I meant Hasbro reissue a US version (whether it be another TRU exclusive or otherwise). I'd really like the US version since it would be cheaper but I also like the colors better overall.

I actually just bought the MP Soundwave and there were two more left in the TRU near me as of yesterday morning. If you'd like, I'd be happy to help you out if they still have one left, but it looks like the eBay prices are pretty reasonable. I think with tax in my state it was something like $127/$128. Not sure what shipping would be to Quebec (lovely city by the way, I've been twice).

Anyway, let me know if you'd like me to help you out. I wouldn't ask for anything other than to cover my costs and PayPal fees.

I have the original Prime and I found a trailer secondhand on eBay, but he didn't have either Roller or Spike. I'm wondering if anyone has one for sale.

Also, anyone know where I could get a decent figure stand for one or more MPs? I saw a Skeleton stand on eBay for around $30 but I don't know if I want to pay that much just for a stand that I honestly think I could build after a trip to Home Depot.

I got a Trailer and Roller, but no Spike. I can live with that. I also wound up building my own stand for Prime.

I am currently looking for any version of Beast Wars Ultra Class Optimus Primal and Megatron, especially the retooled figures from 2006, but the originals will do. I would prefer loose/opened condition as I really can't pay a whole lot for them being a college student.
