I am excited beyond all belief, Endgame was a killer flick and I'm glad we will get one more.
There is also an anime called The Search For Vengeance was that was released last month

God I hope this movie is good!

*edit* Ok I just went to the wiki page for SFV and got royally pissed. The English verison is shorter?!?! And their still releasing the "Director's Cut" later this year. Damn it that pisses me off beyond belief. I hate it when they pull that ****.

Most people just like to bash it because it favors Duncan over Conner. I still think it was a great movie. Looking forward to The Source, and I believe it's going to have more of Methos' history in it.
Endgame is my second favorite too

It's called Highlander: The Scource and this new adventure, starring Adrian Paul is the first feature in a planned Trilogy. The Source tells the story of Immortals as they quest to locate the Holy Grail of their world. The entire series of films will chronicle the origins of the Immortals.
No Connery, no Lambert.
And I loved Endgame, Jacob Kell was the best villian ever. But I was more than pissed at how so many cool scenes were shown in the preview, but didn't make it to the movie.
Even more pissed that these scenes did not get put in the two disk SE DVD.
Even MORE pissed that they saw fit to add a completely new ending that rewrote the entire end of the movie so that it was a happier ending. Highlander has always been about loss, and in the original ending of Endgame, Duncan lost the love of his life, and a brother. To change that ending so that Kate lived really cheapened the ending.

I can't seem to pin down wn exact release date, but September 07 seems to be the month.

I realize that these will most likely go to the big screen, but I hope their production values end up being more than that of a DTV feature.
I'm all for another Highlander movie.
A trilogy, I'm not so sure.
We'll soon find out, I just hope we don't have another Highlander 2 fiasco.

Anything that stays aways from the planet Ziest or involving time travel will automatically make it better than Highlander 2 by default alone.

No, you are not. Great film for it's year/genre...but NOT as good as Conan: The Barbarian. BEST SWORD & SORCERY FILM. EVER. F*** LOTR! Conan, FTW!
Crappy short final sword fight in Masters of The Universe, IMHO.

Highlander is the only film in history where the sequels are even worse than those in the Matrix series, without exception.
The original was gold, pure gold, and every sequel has tarnished it beyond repair.
Endgame was utter crap; who the hell ever told Wrestlers they could act? Mario Van Peebles is about the only thing worht watching in H3 and if Connery couldnt save the series, what hope did he have? And H2 is just unspeakable filth of a movie.
Id rather they just remade the TV series (without 'Richie' this time) that was way better.

Anywho, rumors indicate that a workprint of "The source" is already circulating the P2P networks. Most reviews of it are supposedly negative.

Considering that the new movies are based on the tv series and the main character is Duncan and not Conner (Richie is dead) you should be a happy camper.
Don't agree with you on Endgame, however, I actually found it just to opposite. However, I'm also looking at it as a continuation of the series and not the original movie (though elements are incorporated), I can view it from that perpective and be quite happy.
I'll agree that both versions of Highlander 2 were total and utter crap. There was absolutely no way to save that movie, and Highlander 3 was...ughhhh, plot holes galore, but came a long way to trying to repair what happened with the previous film.

I don't know. As a standalone, Highlander 2: The Renegade Version* works as a entertaining sci-fi film. I will admit that when combined with the other films, it does tend to make your brain bleed.
Highlander II: The Quickening...now that film...no hope, no hope at all. (minus five points to me for using a TF:TM ('86) reference.)
Let me ask you this, if they stuck you in a room and you had to watch Highlander II, but they gave you a choice between the three versions (The Quickening, The Renegade Version, Digitally Remastered Director's Cut*) which one would you choose?
*=(and about the new digitally remastered Director's Cut, it looks nothing short of fantastic. If nothing else, the visuals alone are insane.)

I know, this is one of those things you're never supposed to admit to in public but....
I actually liked Highlander 2: The Quickening. 'course, I was like 15 or 16 when it was released, so I blame the folly of youth for my mental imbalance there.
Now, The Renegade version is a different beast altogether. I don't mind saying I liked that flick. It's wonky when put in with the rest of the movies, but then each movie after the first totally seemed to try to reinvent the whole blasted backstory. Poor Connor. Guy's got the Prize and all that, yet for some reason there's always ANOTHER random, lost Immortal coming out of some damned cave somewhere and fudging with him. In retrospect, the Highlander series probably should never have seen a sequel, but so long as we've got 'em, I suppose we should make the best of 'em, eh?
Oh... and Masters of the Universe rocks. I don't care if it's nothing like the cartoon, it still rocks. Skeletor gets the prize for being perhaps the coolest licensed bad guy ever brought to the screen, simply because he was so much better than his cartoon counterpart. He's got some of the best lines ever.
"Tell me about the loneliness of good. Is it equal to the loneliness of evil?"
"I am not in a giving vein this day."
That whole sequence before the Eye of the Galaxy where he gives his big monologue is just plain awesome. Frank Langella is my hero.

Oh I'm more than willing to admit that I enjoy Highlander 2. I even bought the latest version of the Director's Cut on DVD. (I've got all of the Director's Cuts on DVD.)
It's really not that bad of a movie.
Oh and I love the MOTU movie. I have it on DVD as well. Cheesy as hell, and Tom Paris (before he was cool and running Voyager and all) is there, but hey...it's a classic of schlock!
