Yeah, this topic's title is misleading.

Perhaps, but I'm more than willing to bet that a big chunk of the scalped toys on Ebay are not legit, but stolen like this.

No, only the stolen toys are stolen. The ones that are being "scalped" were bought and are now being re-sold at a higher price (which is exactly what the entire retail industry is based on).

I work for a small webstore, and 9 time out of 10 we get Mattel stuff a couple of weeks to several months before any of it hits retail. We sell on Amazon, not eBay, but eBay is where a lot of small "stores" sell.

Nope, it's called Bull Market Toys http://webuytoys.com/ , based out of Exton. Like I said, we sell on amazon mostly, but are working on a new brick and mortor storefront, so we can buy from certain companies, like Playmobil. We spent A LOT between Lego, Mattel, Learning Curve, etc. at Toyfair this past February! No orders from Hasbro yet, they have a 10g minimum. It's only me and the owner putting in about 10 hours a week total, but we had 300k in sales last year.
