Valandar wrote:It's pretty decent as a robot figure, but is one of the biggest offenders of "Robot Yoga" of any of the Movieverse 'cybertronian mode' figures - he doesn't so much have a space craft mode, as much as he has a 'robot taking an unusual yoga position and coincidentally having wings that way' mode.
He's very much a YMMV type figure overall, honestly. Some love him, depending on the paint job, others hate him because he doesn't really transform.

Valandar wrote:"Gerwalk" dates from Macross, brought over to the US as "Robotech".
In Macross, the transforming fighters could take a half-mode, as shown above - still capable of flight, unlike robot mode, but not as fast as jet mode. In space it was faster than bot mode and slower than jet, but more maneuverable than either. Biggest limitation was it only could use the gun pod and wing-mounted weapons, and none of the internal missile or bomb bays.
This half mode was called "Gerwalk" ("Guardian" in Robotech).

Robotech/Macross kicks so much ass... I always wanted a cycle-suit... Love the fact that they fought those giant Zentradi mechs just in exo suits

Umm... they never did.
The Cyclones ("M.O.S.P.A.E.D.A.") fought the Invid ("Inbid") in Gen 3, which was based on Genesis Climber MOSPAEDA. The Invid were much smaller and weaker than Zentraedi ("Zentran / Meltran"), and their primary advantage was numbers and speed. Thus, the Cyclones were better suited for fighting them than the larger and slower Veritechs.

nope, Predacon is a slight remold. He has Minicon ports and larger leg details (or smaller, as I don't own the original mold)
