Claiming Fox News has real journalists is like claiming Twilight has real vampires, it's just illogical.

Both are immortal and can dish out similar amounts of damage. Dante does, however, have the edge in the amount of weapons he carries, and is damn-near impossible to kill...unless you're controlling him during a DMC game.
TBH, I know very little about Thor outside of his recent movie, but Dante's certainly got more tricks up his sleeve.

And that's Dante at his weakest. And like Evank_Horizon said, he's got two electric-based weapons, Nevan and Alastor.

According to the writers, after obtaining Sparda (The sword, not his dad) in the first game, he got a massive boost in power, and is now the strongest entity in the series.

It's never stated when 2 takes place, it was so unpopular that no other writer has been willing to talk about it in the games. Supposedly, it would take place well after 4.
Wigglez wrote:But I think he still has nothing on Thor. Yeah, Dante had 2 different lightning weapons, but Thor can summon lightning from the sky which I think could be way more powerful than from Dantes weapons.
Dante has fought lightning-summoning enemies before, I seriously doubt that would be the deciding factor.

In 3, Dante is punched so hard it embeds him in a stone floor. In literally the first scene of the first game, Trish blasts him with her own lightning powers, which happens a few more times until she actually switches over to Dante's team, and then again at the hands of the numerous other electricity-wielding demons throughout the series. He's been hit with literally everything Mjolnir could have thrown at him, and it always fails to slow him down.

Most characters besides Dante, Vergil, Mundus and a few others are, well, practically featless compared to barely rank even low metahuman in Marvel. Best destructive feats in the verse being skyscraper+ level, with Mundus' death scene being highly ambiguous (and a common trope too, btw)
Compare that to Thor who is capable of busting planets with his fists, moving several times FTL and tanking planet busting attacks. No way in hell Dante can harm Thor or even remotely perceive his movements before being splattered across the planet. Skill and agility play no part in any fight when you're this outclassed physically
Yes Dante is a half demon, unfortunately that is merely a title, like Thor being a "god", and such titles mean nothing without feats (example, a God of War "god" would be an ant in 40K, Darkstalkers or various other anime verses)
Oh and Thor has fought beings that make even Mundus and his demon armies look totally sad, like Shuma Gorath and Celestials (who have feats on a multi-galactic to universal scale)
Dante loses. hard. Thor godstomps the entire DMC planet. Him and the Marvel-verse in general operate on a massively greater scale than DMC

Unfortunately, Thor has too much power in one body and is thus impossible.
