I have the red version and really enjoy him. I would like to get the black version just for the G2 comic head. That head attached to the red version yields to only G2 comic version of OP in existence.

Man I wish a KO or "custom" company would up-size him to Voyager, he would be my "Classics" Prime and replace the real Classics Prime in the Classics display.

There might not be a big enough demand for that, though. iGear and KOToys already got the market covered with their Primes.

Yeah. it was quit clever for Mr.Kawamori to have included the feature of connecting the rocket back pack outside and mimicking the G2 missile launchers.

Even the steering of Roller/Buggy plus the near detailed spring mounted Trailer door features. Sweet primus! If only he were the size of an Alternity........

I think I heard somewhere about the rocket pack being designed to mimic the G2 soundbox. Pretty cool.

Aren't they supposed to be re-issuing THS-01? Even though I like G1 Prime better (at least when it comes to the toon or MP fig,) I think THS-01 might be the better toy.

Hmm... good question. I hadn't actually heard of THS-01 getting reissued.

I thought that was months ago. Like in the spring. Or earlier. I can't remember. No wait, I'm thinking of the THS-02 rerelease. I haven't heard of a THS-01 release but I can tell you that there were a lot of issues with loose joints on that one.

As far as I can tell THS-01 is almost identical to Energon Prime, with the addition of handles on those big underslung guns. You won't be blown away by poseability like with the G1 style Hybrids.

It was announced waaaaaaaay back. It was among the re-issues from Takara. IIRC it was:

henkei Hound
henkei Convoy
THS-02
THS-01
Predaking
Primus (Now we know that was the G1 color style)

In any case as far as I'm aware THS-01 had much more articulation than his Leader class name sake. He gets wrists, and an up and down head movement.

As far as re-releases go, THS-02 is up for re-release now. BBTS still has him up for pre-order.

Haven't heard anything about THS-01 being re-released.

After listening to you guys sing his praises, I'm definitely going to get him, however should I now wait to get the reissue or should I just get an original version now?

Both should be the same. No mold degradation issues as far as I know or reported (This meaning that there was a second run already a few years ago.....the ones without the WST Hotrod.

Mine btw was the 1st pressing (missed the opportunity to get the WST Hotrod that came with him .)It was either a limited offer or there was a second re-issue.
