I'm sure this is another great job, but I'm avoiding them for now as (even though I'm not expecting much) I don't want Magnus' TF pattern spoiled for me just yet.

Its a bitt better designed than G1.

I like the design of That Magnus. It makes it seem like the trailer and the cab are as one. I like that better than G1, which is one the better Trasnformers ever made.

Love Magnus!! (tears of joy) As far as Megs goes I still don't get it. I thought he looked like crap when we first saw him, and guess what... still looks like crap.

I'm absolutely in love with that Ultra Magnus! He's gorgeous, and will probably be the first Titanium I actually buy.

Nice galleries Ryan, though you should have taken some pics of Magnus carrying around some little micromasters in his vehicle mode.

Awesome Galleries Ryan. I'm totally digging Megs, and Magnus.

Can't wait to get them both.

I second Joebot's question:
Can Megatron's Gun be placed on his arm, in a kind of G1 Megs type deal. There seems to be a hole in his forearm. But I don't know whether his gun would fit there, although if it did it would look awesome.

Well I'm sold on Magnus. I do agree though about his head. My first observation of the figure from botcon was how far back the shoulders were and that seemed to really bug me. But it still looks like it's worth picking up.

Megatron really let me down. It looks pretty good paint wise and over all basic robot mode pose, but they butchered the tank mode and killed the weapon for me. Prime and Megs from War Within are two of my all time favorite designs and I don't think they got the justice they deserved. I'm a huge Dreamwave fan still and neither of those live up to it.

They are two of my all time favorite designs as well (hell, ALL of the War Within stuff is my favorite take on G1 characters), but I do think they got as good of treatement as they could what with being tiny 6" titaniums with limited transform options. I'm sure if we ever saw larger plastic versions one day, they'd be spot-on.

What I would REALLY like to see is more Stormbringer designs. Seems that many of the Classics had a Stormbringer influence, especially Jetfire, so it would be all kinds of awesome to see toy versions of the Prime & Megs designs done for that mini-series.

Just wait for the grey or green repaints of Fallen to match up with IDW Megs or Bludgeon. I agree 100%, if they were plastic as opposed to fully Die-Cast alot of the problems would have been solved. Still... Megatrons belly down mode is no where near as awsome as the Dreamwave designed ones.

But this titanium design IS the Dreamwave version. The only reason it doesn't look the same (in alt mode) is because they were unable to engineer the lower legs & treads to shift outwards and move up to fit tighter against the front treads. If they did that, the toy would look MUCH more like the tank that it is intended to be, and be as close of a match to the way it was drawn in the comic as Prime's figure is to his comic version.

All in all, yeah, the alt mode of WW Megs is a letdown, but it is very much indeed based on the original Dreamwave drawings... even if it doesn't appear to be :)

I believe it does as the pic in my little advert I got with my Fallen shows the cannon on the arm.

And speaking of the Fallen, I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in him. He's alright. The Robot mode is definitely awsome. But the tank is actually disappointing in many ways. And why the heck do the instructions call for the removal of the arm cannons to transform??!?!! It's almost as bad as Unicron's transformation instructions. Plus, it required an engineering degree to remove him from his packaging...where's the Tylenol?

My Megs and Magnus are en route from BBTS.

Good to hear that the cannon fits snuggly on the arm, as I personally hate the "I'll hold my oversized shield thing" look and prefer the sleeker cannon on the arm look.

As for Fallen - personally I think he's the best of the entire Titanium lot because a) he's the first Fallen toy we got which is an achievement in and of itself, b) he's huge compared to the other Titaniums, c) he's fulls poseable, d) he's sturdy, e) he has a fairly complex transformation and...

Contrary to complaints, I feel that his tank mode is not a let down. I mean - he's certainly got a better tank mode than Lay-Me-Down-Megatron :) ....

I wonder what the next 6 inchers will be? Weren't WW Prowl and Grimlock slated to be up next? I would love a WW Prowl.

But I am also wondering whether there will be even more new moulds down the line.

That's a good idea! I would definitely buy this if it was repainted into IDW Bludgeon.

They were indeed minor complaints, though my Fallen came apart at the waist while I was trying to remove him from his packaging. And I was being careful as I like to keep the packaging to store the figures in.

As far as the tank mode goes, the rubberized cannons are bent at wierd angles right now. (I'm hoping they'll straighten out at some point.) The head doesn't seat quite all the way in tank mode. There some odd gaps in the tank that are easily hidden in photos and even viewing at certain angles, but at some angles, they are very obvious. The rear of the tank treads kind of flop around in both tank and robot mode. All of these things were not evident in the Galleries here so when I found them, they let me down a little. Just a little.

Don't get me wrong, at this point he's probably my second or third favorite Titanium. The paint scheme is outstanding! The way they make it seem that there really is fire within this figure is fantastic!

Overall, a solid 3 stars.

Finally an Ultra Magnus figure.

He looks awesome, but the only problems that may stop me from getting the figure is where his head is located and where his arms sit on the figure.

The head isn't in a bad spot, if only the arms were able to slide forward so he didn't look so gumpy from the side.

Sorry I seem to have rambled. I do agree that they are the DW designs. They just fall short of my expectations of them. Even Megatrons chest from the DW comics was out and about in his tank mode and it looked, well more like a tank. I am glad to see that the cannon can be put on his arm though.
