Don't envy hasbro... they never win. He is closer to his g1 counterpart than say metroplex but I don't mind.. and yep the inner foot tabs are an interesting detail. Have a feeling they're there for city parts rather than walkies.

I always had a soft spot for g1 metroplex, one. Of my all time favourite toys as he was the cornerstone of every base my autobots would defend. I later got skorponok but never managed to get trypticon till the recent encore release. I found him fun and.i only wish I had him as a kid. Now I'm keen to have someone metroplex or fortress maximus can go toe to toe with.

What I think is interesting is from that one photo, the Titan Master use cant really be seen. Although most have anticipated Trypticon will be the unofficial end of the TM line, I wonder if he will be in fact the beginning of the next line? Unless the Titan Master is something totally unexpected...thankfully we wont have to wait long to find out.

I find it funny, 10 years ago or less, everythibg that even thought of being an updated G1 was lambasted for everything that was different. We wanted the G1 figures, jusy with kor knees and elbows. Now we have figures like Trypticon, like the Headmasters, and they arent different enough.

Because when you add articulation, it improves.

When you just take the old design, and simply change it up a bit without really improving things, then yeah, it's lazy.

Look at Fortress Maximus, what exactly makes the modern version any better than the original version?

Not really relatable. That thing is 2 separate pieces that are $360 combined before shipping.

Also, not everyone is willing to jump on the much more expensive 3P options for figures. Just because someone made it happen doesn't mean we wish the official route would make it happen

Wave 4 is starting to be released in some areas already, in a previous post I guesstimated about 75 days (or 2.5 months between waves)

so that puts wave 5 around May 1, and Wave 6 around Mid-July (When I speculated Trypticon will be released)

Just because we are getting pics now, doesn't mean its coming any time soon.

For those of you complaining about Trypticon being an old-fashioned "tail dragging" t-rex ... why can't you just post him forward leaning, which you can do with G1 Grimlock as well?

It's just that based on past experience all other Titans (2013,2015,2016) were released in the Summer- to start a new Generations line, I expect Trypticon would probably be the same. But everything so far has indicated it would be part of TR (promotional Images from Asia show Fort Max and Trypticon battling)...but perhaps it will actually be linked to POTP. Like I said, in a few days we'll know either way.

Power of the Primes should be a Wave 1 2018 release (i.e. Thanksgiving/Christmas 2017 but technically January). To the best of my knowledge, Trypticon will be a late 2017 release, most likely with a release around or including SDCC 2017. Retail around August or September for a Christmas 2017 featured product.

I wouldn't call him boring, but until we see more he just looks like an upscaled version of his G1 self. So not very exciting.

Hate to be a party pooper but I agree. It looks as expected in dino mode, which isn't a bad thing, it's just a thing.

Very excited to see the base mode though. Super very much excited for that. Some fun looking panel boundaries in the legs

I dunno when production starts for Trypticon for mass sales, but it's possible that like with the TF5 figs we got to see early....some worker in vietnam could get a hold of it early & do a vid review &/or post pics
