I can see all sorts of potential driving dangers with that, potential lack of peripheral vision being the topmost concern.
However all of that is easily outweighed by the awesomeness of it all. Now we need a street race between him and someone in a Darth Vader helmet.

I think there are laws which prohibit driving with a helmet like that, but if I remember correctly it's more because the wearer is more of a distraction to OTHER drivers than that it because of restricted peripheral vision. I could be wrong, but it seems like something that's stuck in my head.

Not exactly a street Race but Top Gear a few series back did a test of who could drive around their test course fastest between Darth Vader, Ming the Merthless, a Kligon, a Cyberman and the sixth Dr. Who.
