I’m busy visiting THE happiest place on Earth, Disney World. Not much alcohol to be had here, but that’s okay because ya frikkin Disney World.

Actually the Hollywood Studios has a pretty sweet bar called Baseline Tap room. I had the Ace Blood Orange Cider. I’ve loved the Ace Pineapple Cider for many years now, and that blood orange one holds up pretty well.

Also had a stout from Ballast Point, it was decent. It was kinda smoky and dry, and usually I prefer my stouts a bit sweeter.

Both drinks are out of California, and both are breweries I’m somewhat familiar with. If any of you guys ever get the chance to try the Ace Pineapple Cider, do so.

Well, Georgia’s kind of a suck-fest anyway so that really doesn’t help. :-D

Jk but seriously, I actively try to avoid Florida between May and October. The heat is simply to high for ol’ Maximo over here. I’m quite happy in Northern Michigan where 90 degrees is an anomaly, and I’m not totally helpless when snow accumulation is over 2 inches.

No joke, you're right. Georgia is a suck-fest. I grew up in Northeast Ohio so I totally get (and miss) the rare 90 degree days and the 3 feet of snow in the morning. Until I moved down here I never thought I'd be begging to shovel snow in -20 windchill every morning. It's like the gates of hell down here. As soon as it's financially feasible I'm moving back up North.

We're going to Florida in August, but the trick is to stay on the beach where you can get away with wearing next to nothing and there is a constant breeze. We have the same weather as Florida less the wind.

I've had Ballast Point's IPA and I think I remember it being good. I like a good stout. Lately when I haven't been drinking whisky I've been enjoying Scotch Ales. They're a little different than the darks I drink but very good. Surprisingly I haven't been able to find any crazy high ABV stouts like in the States. Most of the beer is fairly tame, one guy warned me when he poured me a pint of 5.6% ABV beer. :lol:

I thanked him and laughed on the inside.

Funny story time. So my family and I like to drive down to Florida rather than drive, it’s cheaper for a clan of 8 people and only takes us 20 hours. Not a bad gig.

So we took 2 cars, and my brother, his fiancé and I left a bit later than the rest of my family and just drove straight through (without the young kids we were able to make it in about 18 hours, minimal bathroom and snack stops.) Well, we ended up getting to Atlanta about 2:30 AM, and let me tell you, the Atlanta Suburbs are not a place you wanna be at 2:30 AM. I took the wrong exit, tried to turn around in a church parking lot to get back on the I-75, and there in the parking lot was a legitimately 7 foot tall man in a chaplain’s coat and collar, just standing there, staring us down as I whipped the car around repeating my mantra of “nope nope nope nope nope” as I found my way around again. That was a harrowing experience that will follow me to my grave.
