You know, if they remolded that Whirl mold to improve the cannon mode, I might be interested in a Shockwave/Whirl repaint. Something to make it look like an actual mode and not just something the guys made up while goofing around with the toy.

Oh yeah, I spotted Deadlock, couldn't figure out who the Combaticons were, and would the Air Warriors encompass Skywarp and Thundercracker?

That Rodimus is quite a beauty! The Gen Springer mold is a GREAT mold and Roddy's colors are perfect. I dunno if I want to spend 100$+ for it, but it's the best Cloud figure so far.

As for Shockwave... why? It's just dosent work at all. IT'S A PURPLE WHIRL AND THAT'S IT! Shockwave is usually massive and powerful looking. Here, we either get Whirl cosplaying as Shockwave, or Shockwave got a very bad case of anorexia and is about to die from excessive weight loss.

Also, lol @ Megs & Shocky being kinky together in that last shot!

I never really liked the GDO Megatron remold and when it was released in the Cloud line I didn't like it either. But for some reason (after seeing these pictures) I'm starting to like the mold

This pretty much sums it up for me. Really like the look of Cloud Rodimus. Thought I'd be put off by the helicopter mode, but I think it actually looks really good, and I'm loving the colours. Shockwave just doesn't look like Shockwave to me. I just see Whirl in purple, as you said. I think they should've done more to distance him like with Sandstorm from the Springer mould.

I guess I'm the only one who really sees a Shockwave in him, albeit a really slender one (who says brains need brawn anyway?). Let me ask you guys this: if you had to repaint Whirl as an existing character, without any retooling at all, who would you repaint him as?

They will slap paint on ANY mold and call it something it is not. And the funny thing is, people pay huge premiums for them.

I like the concept of Rodimus from Springer. I would have preferred a new head and different weapons. This is Springer painted like Rodimus with a flame deco for added measure. I can't justify buying it.

Shockwave from Whirl is ambitious. However it just does not work even in the slightest sense. Just get SDCC Shockwave and be happy.

Ok,this sounds strange but I was digging the bot mode and heli mode of this figure, but that pic has now put me off. I really don't know why but to me it just doesn't suit Roddy. The only problem I have with both alt modes is the orange roof, it doesn't match the red or the yellow.

I wanna see a version of the car mode where the tips of the spoilers are horizontal rather than vertical. I feel that may help slightly.
