Me too. By the way, we did already get a classics version of a toy that originally used the pwer master mold.
Fire Guts Ginrai was a japan firey redeco of God Ginra (powermaster Optmus).

They made a classics version of him for Botcon 2014

I am sure many want that too. I just wanted to show that there was already an interpretation of a classics version to a toy like that, just for the record and so you see how it was interpreted and what you thought of it. I would very much want a classics version to imitate the gimmicks as well and be more about an update to the toy rather than an update to the character.

william-james88 wrote:What makes the most sense to me, looking at Hasbro's current strategies, is to reuse the Leader Magnus mold. That mold has the idea of a smaller transformer being at the center of a much larger one, very much like Powermaster Prime. The chest would be retooled to look like the front of a truck cab. And it is a cab and a trailer, like powermaster prime. And it can form a base mode:
That could be retooled to work as Powermaster Prime. I would understand them not using God Bomber since that wasnt part of the original Hasbro release of Powermaster Prime.
I guess that could work... with some serious remolding... I mean, the trailer section would have to be totally reworked, as Optimus is not a car carrier, and if they tried to release him as one I'd not be on board for that.
Also, one would imagine that, since the Ultra Magnus toy's cab didn't feature it's own smaller robot mode, if they reused this mold for Powermaster Prime, that would hold true for him as well. And as I said, while I could forgive that for Ultra Magnus, I would not do so for Powermaster Prime.
On the bright side (for people other then me who wouldn't already be turned off of reusing this mold as Powermaster Prime) I suppose the little guy that comes with him could be repainted into Hi-Q, although again without some serious remolding, we'd end up with a Hi-Q who transforms into a little car rather than an engine, and we wouldn't really have anything resembling the Powermaster gimmick at all.
I dunno... I think the mold would just need so much extensive reworking to work as an even half-way effective Powermaster Prime that at that point, they may as well just use a new mold, anyway, and do it right. (And I am one who tends to be slightly more forgiving of mold re-use then some people.)

Oh and someone mentioned Armor Knight AoE Prime. That was the only version of that look I bought so I consider him worth every penny. It looks phenomenal. The figure isn't that bad either, but Takaras paint and remolding make it so much better.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.
TFCon List: Classics Skywarp, General Optimus, BW Airrazor, Transmetal Tarantulus, Alternity Prime, Fire Convoy

Yeah I like BH Optimus and even I don't care.
Anyone got a list of the strangest and most unique versions of Prime?
In no order:
Optimus exPrime
Alternity Prime
Sports label Prime
Playstationmus Prime
Optimus Primal (bat) it's prime! But then it's not.

I love Softimus Prime! I will not hear a word against his cuddly greateness!
I actually just got Sports Label Convoy last week, and yeah, he is pretty weird... I'll probably be writing a review of him soon, but as a sneek preview, let me just say that unless you are a really big Optimus fan looking for something more odd to add to your collection, he is probably quite skippable.

(Quote edited a bit to stick to the bits relevant to what I am replying to.)
My first thought was to yell "heretic" as someone else so kindly did... But I can understand your reasoning even if I don't personally agree with it. The RotF Leader Prime was a rather complex toy, difficult to transform in parts. And sometimes it really can be better to just have a toy that is simple and fun to play with!
Yes, yes, heretic, burn the witch, see if I weigh as much as a duck. :p For me, it's about 80-85% being able to pick it up and play with it, transform it and have fun. If you like ROTF-Prime, then legit cool for you. Me... not so much.
-Kanrabat- wrote:RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Hey, for me at least, the ROTF mold is just way over-engineered. I'm more than willing to sacrifice a little bit of accuracy for the damned thing to be fun to play with!
ROTF Leader OP IS a MASTERPEICE. Especially the Buster version that came in the 2 pack with Jetfire. He's a glorious peice in my collection and look incredible in both mode.
However...
Yes...
He's a pain to fiddle with so I didnt transform him very often.
I also REALLY love the 2007 leader. I have the premium version and even tough he's not screen accurate at all and he's kibbly, he does look cool and powerful and is fun to transform. Also, that light and sound head reveal always bring a wide smile to my face!
MP-Megatron is technically a 'masterpiece' and one of the biggest regrets I've ever had in buying Transformers.

BTW, I just put back Alternity OP in car mode and I confirm again that it's one of the best Alternity mold. It's a lot of fun and a breeze to transform.
