And plus, we are ok with a new bumblebee type character, or optimus like character, or megatron like character in every series, why can't the best fembot of all also have a recurring incarnation in the different TF fictions?

I hate Bumblebee. I wish they'd stop using him. I hope he dies and doesn't come back.

As for Optimus, He's becoming so boring that the more interesting episodes of Transformers Prime didn't have much of him in them. Personally I think the best depiction of Optimus Prime on tv was from Transformers Animated. Megatron just ends up being a generic bad guy all across the board, and the character from the other Decepticons is what makes them interesting.

Personally, the best faction leaders had to be Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron. Primal is an overworked captain who's stuck with a crew that doesn't exactly work well together (at the start, anyway), and Megatron is an egomaniac who thinks he's got everything and everyone under his thumb, but really his own crew are too afraid of how nuts he is to shank him. The main thing that made these two more interesting than Optimus Prime and Megatron, is that they didn't act like either of those two.

It's this strange character archetype double-standard where, with some characters, I'll be p*ssed if they're changed from how I think they should act or look (like Grimlock), but with other characters, I WANT to see them be different (like Optimus Prime)!

I'm tired of seeing Bumblebee too. Bring back Hot Shot.

Well, I think my top 5 would be like this.

1) G1 Minerva (I personally think she's a pretty underrated and underused character)

2) IDW Nautica (I find her a pretty quirky and perky character)

3) G1 Arcee (I always liked the fact that she could be a deadly warrior toward her enemies and a kind, loyal Autobot to her friends)

4) 2015 RiD Windblade (I really like how they've developed her in the cartoon)

5) 2015 RiD Strongarm (Just a really nice, quirky by-the-book type of character)
